Because, as happened, the person said "In the comics this happened". If they don't give information they do know, you can assume they are just as full of shit as everyone else. But, as just happened, the person knew and made it clear they knew.


Or, we could go the GoT route and start crying every time a person who has read the source material says anything. We can report posts for spoilers for things that literally just fucking happened in the episodes and then get butthurt and leave the thread because it is "ruined". As if knowing Snape kills Jon Snow before you see it happen in episode 3 of the next season is the end of the fucking world.

Even if they are far apart, there are still characters that exist in both. If someone came in and said "In the comics, Rick and Daryl have a homosexual encounter!" I wouldn't expect them to not have the same encounter in the show, even if it is in a different "storyline".

characters of the same name may or may not exist, but their personalities and actions are mostly different... there are several characters still alive and kicking in the comics who are now dead on the tv show, and vice versa.

helps keep it interesting for those of us who read/watch both since I really don't know where the plot is going on the tv show other than very, very broad strokes (eg: I knew they'd leave Atlanta and find their way onto the farm, but most of the stuff that happened in between is all different... Sophia is alive and well in the comics, for example, and as opposed to the badass she is on the show, comic book Carol killed herself after trying to put the moves on Lori very early on in the series)

Yes. He was part of a team that developed that. "Fight fire with fire". I am really hoping he is full of shit, as it is the most idiotic shit one could think of. I swear, it is like anyone with moderate intelligence has died off. Who would believe this guy?

This may be unrelated or maybe I remembered it wrong, but didn't the CDC guy see something that cured the virus in the lab but then some fuckup happened and everything in the lab got incinerated? If that's true, at least it would show that the scientists were on track the right track to curing the virus before the entire world turned to shit.

Overall, it does seem suspicious that mullet guy actually has the cure but going to DC is as good as any other plan I suppose. Without a doubt, there will be some Termites returning because unless you see the person die, they are still alive and will pop back in. They even stressed the idea that they are still alive because they wouldn't let Rick go back and finish them off. I'm also really excited that Morgan's following them. Is Rick the one leaving the marks or is someone else?

I assumed it was profession Xavier leaving the marks. IIRC, the CDC guy said they weren't able to come up with a viable cure and that is why there is some kind of idiot fail "safe" that explodes everything. What kind of dumb shit is that?

I misremembered the scene. It was just the virus spreading that was shown under the microscope. I thought it was showing a cure before he accidently blew up the lab but it wasn't.

The reason why I think it could be Rick, is that he felt guilty for leaving Morgan behind and always wanted Morgan to be able to find him.

He didn't accidentally blow up the lab. That was on purpose.

I mean the small lab that he was working on the tissue sample in. It got incinerated before the group arrived. He knocked over a vial accidently into the tissue sample, tried to clean off the sample, got some goo on his glove, and had to run into the decontamination chamber. Everything got incinerated. I'm not talking about when he let the bomb go off at the end.
