Maybe. I thought they were killing Tyrese to achieve the same thing; did not expect him to come out of the pack of zombies at the end there. Could see them switching to offing Carol.

I think the attack of Tyrese here was to make up for not showing a pivotal scene in the comic. In the comic Tyrese and others go into the exercise yard/gym to kill a bunch of zombies as they were clearing out the prison. They were overrun and Tyrese was basically left behind as dead. They go back later and find he is alive and he single handedly had taken down all the walkers. This showed how much of a bad ass he was. Since they went a different route with the Tyrese character I think they wanted to go back and give him some character development.

Yeah, I like that they aren't completely following the comic but still including some tid bits of the characters in other ways.

Carol has blood on her hands that the others won't be able to reconcile with.

While Rick hems and haws on how to deal with it, and the group starts to fall apart, Carol will get munched or kill herself from guilt, solving the problem automatically for everyone.

She seems to have a bit of a death wish, judging by that whole water hose thing, so I expect her to get eaten.

They hit up a sporting goods store last season and I remember them picking up some bolts. Why they don't break? Same reason some people never have to reload in movies.

Daryl can easily identify which zombies have the jelly skulls and which have the "thicker than average" skulls. He only shoots the jelly skulls obviously.

I am pretty sure Tyrese left to ask Carol to look after his sister while he was gone and not get a hammer.

What annoys me is Herschel being against Carl killing zombies. Every one you kill is one less you have to deal with. I don't care if they are being "peaceful" or you can get away easily, putting them down makes you a small percentage safer.


And, the fact they haven't made spears or pikes annoys me to no end. That would be the perfect zombie weapon, along with a short sword for up close slashing. Spartan style!

Haven't they established that zombie heads are mushy soft like a cup of jello pudding and you can squish them with ease? So his arrows should slide on through like a hot knife through butter.

Carol can't tell yet. When she was out fixing the pump she got her machete stuck in the skull of a think skulled walker.

That's actually a really good point. I guess running around shooting a .357 magnum (which is incredibly easy to find ammo for by the way ) or getting within hugging distance with a machete is just easier to write or act out.

What annoys me is Herschel being against Carl killing zombies. Every one you kill is one less you have to deal with. I don't care if they are being "peaceful" or you can get away easily, putting them down makes you a small percentage safer.

Especially since those were easy kills. Now if Herschel said "Don't waste your ammo", then that would make sense. Granted, that wasn't the point of the scene. It was to show that Carl has matured and is hearing what his elders are saying. In a previous scene, his dad told him not to use his gun, unless he HAD to.

A spear would be a perfect weapon for saving ammo.

I am also surprised they aren't using shotguns. 20 gauge shotguns can easily be handled by almost everyone. Find a large capacity shotgun and a shell reloader. You can make gun powder if you need and any kind of gravel in the shell will do. Primers are probably not high on the looter list, as unless you're packing your own shells, they are pretty much worthless.

so now zombies can rip legs off cleanly like they cut it with a samurai sword and they don't eat em, just leave them there to rot?

my dvr messed up and the last 10 minutes didn't record for me or it's like frozen. can someone tell me what happened after they found out the new black guy was hiding liquor the whole time and tyrese told daryl to let it go because he had already made up his mind? it has to be more interesting than the first 50 minutes of the show where nothing happened.
