So what kind of threats can they come across that not human ? What about a nuclear power plant blowing up near alexandria and making their little paradise toxic? Would be nuts.
Oh snap. Morgan is going to be the new moral compass (re: "all life is precious"). That means he's gonna die
They killed Red Hood because he wrote the warning on the car... probably the note Aaron and Daryl found between the seats too.
I think Morgan found a zen master or a Daoist priest and traveled with him a while.
The guy who plays Morgan says he's got a pretty good backstory for that, so I'm excited to see how they play it. Morgan will definitely stick around to help Rick because Rick was there when Morgan was crazy with all the weapons, so now he needs to return the favor & not let things get too out of hand. Deanna is a bit too extreme for the current world they live in - Ricktatorship or bust man
I was wondering about that too...no one is guarding the bombs or the nukes or the powerplants or airliner fuel or anything like that, plenty of opportunity for huge disasters to happen. And if a nuclear plant DID leak...well, can we just say nuclear mutated zombies walking around?

Without maintenance all the plants are going to melt down! It is just a matter of when.
.
I would think that as the crisis began and things started going to hell the national guard would protect the nuclear plants and then they would systematically shut them all down to be on the safe side. Maybe in the spinoff show they will show that scenario.
Maybe that is the threat everyone is alluding to, nuclear meltdowns that they will force them to move.
The problem is the spent fuel pools. Without cooling pumps and make-up water the spent rods will boil off the cooling water.
So it really doesn't matter if the reactors self-cool or not, the fuel is still going to breech containment without active human management. I imagine it's easier for most post apocalyptic shows to ignore certain aspects of the apocalypse.
Yeah most apocalypse shows glance over this. You have two issues the Reactor and the spent fuel pond.
The reactor will shut itself down automatically as soon as grid power is lost.
Even if a reactor get's shutdown it still needs cooling for weeks before it goes completely cold. Most sites don't have more than probably 1-2 weeks of diesel fuel onsite. So once the grid goes and unless you can get more diesel fuel things will go bad quickly.
The fuel ponds are a big issue. Without active cooling the water does boil off. It takes years before the fuel has cooled enough for dry storage. It was never planned for that a reactor site would loose power and not have access to more diesel fuel within 1-2 weeks to run the generators onsite.
Well seeing as Rick and the gang have been out there surviving for a year or two now it looks like they dodged that bullet.
Just rewatched it again after seeing this screencap on reddit and there is definitely blood on the sword before he attacks Reg
Who's blood is that on the sword?
