That is stupid. I worked a drive though, and I NEVER had change in my hand on anticipation of what a customer was gonna give me. Customer's were stupid, and never had any $ ready anyway. You would have to repeat it at the window for them.

The only time ive never had the $ ready was when i didnt have a wait and went straight from ordering to the window. So I didnt dig around for change then. But normally I have tons of change in my car so I hand over exact change when I am prepared.

The guy who thought of this is a total MORON.

Most busy fastfood have this coin machine that after you punch in the amount, the machine spit out the coins for you instead of the emplayee counting them.

So why would any employee even need to anticipate what a customer is gonna give you ??
Lets take 2 scenarios.

1) A customer ordered $4.38. An employee anticipate giving back the .62.
Even if he/she did that, she would have to punch something in for the machine to spit out the coins.

2) He/she waits till the customer gives the money, punches it in and the machine spits out the coins and he/she counts the bills.

I don't see "anticipating" is any faster than just waiting for the money.
If employees at Wendy's are doing this, they are just as moronic as this guy who thought of the game.

I have two problems with this whole idea...
neither related to the fact that I work fast food.

1) You need a real hobby. If you get kicks out of trying to be faster at someone than counting change, you are a moron. Simple as that.

2) There is a BIG chance you aren't the only person in line. If you are dicking around, then you are making THOSE people wait to get their food. I don't care who you are, or who they are, but you are nothing short of a prick if you hold up the line over something silly like making someone count out odd amounts of change or giving them all change just to be a jerk.

I think they anticipate what I'm going to order. They have my food ready, hanging out the pickup window before I've even completed it. OK, not that fast, but, the one by my house is damn quick and I'm not doing anything to slow it down, that's lame.

Not everyone are math genuises. I'd say say "WTF is this?" too. And yes, then I'd say "oh, I get it." You forget, also, that the majority of of fast food workers are younger than 18 or older than 75. Not the most intelligent age group.
