Three tripper batteries indicating nearly dead now. Nothing has actually stopped working, just shows up on the status page.

So I just got my hub, lights, and trippers. Is there any way to schedule a robot just for a timer? The geofencing doesn't seem to work well. All I want is to automate my lights say turn on at 5p off at 11p.
Go into lights, then the menu on the right. Scroll down and you'll see schedules.
For something so simple, they have it buried!

Lol welcome to wink. Let us know if you can figure out how to add users on your own. It took me a week to find that feature.

Still waiting on Wink to respond to my many emails. Anyone else having the same problem? Has anybody seen on some secret hidden forum somewhere what the update last night addressed?

Is anyone else having problems with their Chamberlain myQ? Ever since the scheduled maintenance a few days ago mine doesn't work anymore via the wink app (android.) Yet, when I use Chamberlain's app it works fine.

I tried removing it with the intention of re-adding but right after I enter my login credentials it just throws an error to try again. I wonder if they changed their API during whatever maintenance they did.

My trippers as of 55 update are now showing open and closed alerts, anyone elses? I haven't seen anyone else stating so?

Yes after the change to .55 MyQ integration no longer works. I cannot say for sure if it was the MyQ update or the Wink Hub update. Would sure be nice for Wink to have an update page as to what the updates are supposed to have fixed. I really want this to be successful but I am losing more hope every single day.

Have you upgraded your hub to .55 yet? Just wonder if that's made any difference with the Tripper battery issue.

I upgraded last night. The Tripper which was showing low battery is still showing as low but it isn't dead yet as I am still receiving updates from the sensor.

I pulled my other Tripper that was showing low last week and miraculously it started showing the battery was fine once it was closer to the hub (this was before the .55 update).

Mine broke before I updated to .55 and after their "partner" maintenance. I don't think the .55 update is related.

Ooohhhh this will be nice. I want something like this to execute shortcuts. I hope it'll work with Wink (zigbee). Sounds like it'll be part of Lowe's IRIS system:
http://www.centralite.com/index.php/products/new-products-for-2015
3-Series Micro Button
Model 3460

The 3-Series Micro Button can be customized to trigger events, scenes, or notifications in your connected home system. Less than two inches wide, the Micro Button can be installed on nearly any surface with adhesive or screws. Use the Micro Button to control LED lights, without the need for wiring. The Micro Button fully supports ZigBee HA 1.2, giving it a wide range of compatible platforms and unlimited options for connected home control.

It took Wink 9 days to respond to my emails and 2 weeks to get my order I placed. I was supposed to get a shipping confirmation email, never got it.

Well, it's official, myQ broke with their scheduled maintenance according to some other people on /r/winkhub. Someone called them and they did respond that they are aware and fixing it is a "priority."

Hey wink, here's a crazy idea: Your backend knows which users have a myQ already setup and you have their email address. How about selectively emailing those users that you are aware of the problem. Easy things like that lead to reduced support call volumes and support emails. Add it to your status page.

Owning a wink hub sure keeps you busy though. I'm never bored with the setup since I have to babysit it all the time!

Hah, I actually just got an email from them:

We’re so sorry for how long it’s taking us to get back to you. We’re working tirelessly to accommodate all support requests, but the volume has just been too great for us to provide our normal timely assistance.

If you are still in need of support, no problem, we're here to help -- just shoot a reply to this email or give us a call at 1-844-WINK-APP

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this delay might have caused.

That ticket was so old I don't even remember when I put it in

My impression is that the MyQ breakage is on Chamberlain...

That's true if they changed their API without notifying wink. I'm not saying it's necessarily wink's fault. The problem is their lack of openness with communication about the problem. What does "wink certified" really mean if your partner breaks your own integration?

Either it's a bug neither side anticipated, or it's a bug due to wink failing to update their side. Without knowing the inside scoop on what happened, it's tough to say which side is at fault. This is a common problem with 3rd party integration, I should know since I work in the industry. The real crime is in wink's lack of transparency. They have a wink certified product that is 100% broken right now with zero external indication of such. You just can't do that these days. People expect immediate updates on what's going on. If you're a tech startup, you have to invest in that kind of customer interaction.

Here we are, on a 3rd party forum talking about wink issues. Why? It's because it is the only place that people can talk about the product. /r/winkhub is growing on reddit but it's a joke that wink is so silent.

Hey All,

Wink lurker up until this point. This tread has been helpful. I've been playing with Wink since around the holidays. I have a hub, 2 GE Quirky Bulbs, a Nest Protect and 4 Trippers.

Everything installed and paired just fine. Have had lag issues at times and I've also had to reboot the hub a few times to re-establish control of the GE bulbs. For the price point, and stage of product lifecycle, I can accept these issues while they work out the kinks.

What I can't accept, is rushing product to market with lackluster features and support. Take for instance, my Trippers. (Of which 2 of the 4 are showing low battery, but that's another issue.)

A common use case (the most common even) for the Tripper product would be to set a robot to notify someone when any of the trippers sensed an “open” event. (You know, like how any alarm system in the world works.) Not being able to group Trippers (like you can with light bulbs) prevents you from being able to do this without lots of monotonous, repetitive work. I asked support if this was possible, and their reply was "Unfortunately there is no way to group Trippers. Robots need to be made for each individual Tripper. Sorry for any inconvenience."

On top of that, I think it would be great to be able to flash a light bulb if any of the trippers detect an open event. Better yet, let me flash all of my light bulbs easily by selecting a group. No dice. Currently, I can turn a light bulb on. If I want to turn more than one on I need to add each manually, rather than selecting a group. Then, I need to create a robot for each of my 4 trippers. Insane. Just not thought through and poorly executed. Again, all software issues that could be fixed. But will they be?

I was excited for Wink - great price point, great interface, etc. But they need to pull some rabbits out of hats ASAP if they want to capture the consumer marketshare.
