Well, I am on .56. I also don't remember actually pressing the program button -- I pulled the battery strip out and started going through the wizard. While I was looking for the program button it seemed to complete the wizard. I thought for sure it wouldn't work and I'd have to redo it, but it worked fine.

Mine did something similar. The wizard did not complete the way the rest of the devices did. When I backed out to try to restart the wizard I noticed the PIR was installed. Works fine. No if they would just add timers...

Can someone point me to the post numbers describing the Wink Tasker Project? I have a Toshiba Tablet that I would like to try to get working. I loaded Tasker, what other apps do I need to add from Google Play?

Here is the link to the tasker project that ties in the wink api https://plus.google.com/app/basic/stream/z12guxibomastvsgh04cgfvpfvbdvvwjm1k

I also used autonotification app to let tasker watch incoming notifications

Hi all, my first post. Does anyone have instructions on including Schlage FE599 z-wave lock into the wink hub.

Also, if it can be included into the system, what can it do and what can't it do.

Thanks for any and all info.

Just follow the instructions for the schlage it should pair fine. You will need your instruction sheet as it contains the master code.
AFAIK you can not do anything other than open and close. You can not remotely change codes or see battery life.

Which Schlage lock are you using - that allows lock and unlock on WINK. My friend has the FE599 and says it locks, but will not unlock.

I just picked up a Wink hub for next to nothing, and a few bulbs to play with. A few questions:

Where is the largest community to discuss Wink-related stuff?

Is there any way to control the hub from a PC? Does bluestacks work?

Are there any reasonable competitors that work offline? I'm mostly in it for the wireless light control, but would like to be able to use a mix of bulbs down the road. Does GE's light hub work with Cree bulbs, for instance?

I think only the touchpad models are Wink Certified, not the pushbutton models, but I don't know every model they make or what the master list of Schlage support is. I have the Camelot I think, works pretty well.

Although it IS annoying when the Hub doesn't work. I just got home with a ton of groceries, it's 15F out, snowing, and I waited & waited & waited in the car for the Schlage to unlock & finally said screw it & went in because the app just sat there & spun at "unlocking". So it's kind of frustrating spending $200 on a fancy door lock & then not having it do the simple job of unlocking. And to be fair, the Schlage has worked 100% so far for keypad & key entry, it's the Wink Hub that's the problem. I do not like having it all in Wink's unreliable cloud service. It's easy to get mad at it when it doesn't work the one time you really want it to work. Not a good feeling when you've spend good money on the equipment and it lets you down

You're looking at it

Officially no. Unofficially, there is some webpage-based stuff floating around, check out this thread a few pages back.

A lot of us are waiting for the SmartThings v2 Hub, coming out later this year. Samsung has committed to being extremely open with cross-product support, which is really good news, as well as having local control, a battery backup, cellular option, and so on. Nothing else is really that great at the moment. Vera is still junk, SmartThings v1 is more for tinkerers, and most of the rest are computer-based. For now, I'm sticking with my Wink Hub, and primarily buying things that have their own control system (ex. my Schlage lock has a standalone keypad, my upcoming Honeywell thermostat has it's own web-based control system, etc.).

Bluestacks does work. I have it on my garage computer and the one at work.

I had the FE599 and touch screen dead bolt with the wink. I have since removed the wink but the FE599 was working. Try unpairing and pair and try again.

Thanks. I'm an engineer but not a programmer! Have the project imported, ran GoAuth and GetDevices with no errors. still working on Voice commands but that's not the main reason I loaded Tasker. Does this project give me the ability to automate my system better than the native Wink App? such as using a sensor to turn on a group of lights for a period of time?

Thanks again for the assist.

Yup, set up another task to filter whether you have a voice command or calling this new function via parameter(if/then/endif block). I think you may need to change the first line of the Wink Voice Received to accept a parameter. At that point you're good to go. Use a robot to send a notification, trap that with Tasker, send the command to turn on the lights, use a wait statement for the interval you want the lights on, then send the command to turn them off.

That reminds me, weren't some people here having issues with longer delays in command transmittal? I forgot to check if my door lock every received the unlock command, but it would be pretty dumb if I went to bed & it received the unlock command later & left my house open to the world without my knowledge...

I have found this thread to be incredibly valuable in helping evaluate which products to buy and how to shoot the inevitable issues.
My current setup:
wink hub
2 trippers(front door and garage door)
Honeywell wifi thermostat
Kwikset lock
2 link lightbulbs

I had one question for the group which I think has been answered earlier, but I am not familiar enough to be sure:
Is there something I can do to use a super cheap android tablet as a "command center" for wink? Are there any requirements for the tablet itself beyond running android?

Thanks

Yep! http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?p=37070229&highlight=tablet#post37070229
Just beware, Wink App doesn't really "scale" on tablets well. There is no screen rotation for landscape mode and the buttons end up still in just 2 columns. Some of the apps to force rotation to landscape will work, but I just use the shortcut widgets for most of my stuff.

I use the GE z-wave switches almost exclusively with Wink Hub. In fact lately I use the Iris branded ones from Lowes since they're easier to obtain and are just lightly rebranded versions. I even use an ancient Intermatic z-wave dimmer with few issues. The important thing is that you make sure that you bring your Wink Hub very close to the switch when pairing. I usually bring the hub about 3 feet from the switch. The new Wink App give you the ability to pair with Z wave using the normal wizards instead of having to use inclusion mode which is nice. That being said I wouldn't exactly call it reliable right now given all of the server issues that Wink been having the past couple of weeks but hopefully that is in the past.
Hi MentalBob, You say that you have the "ancient" Intermatic's HA03 module working with the Wink hub.

I have tried for days and cannot get the hub to recognize it.

Can you (or any other member) tell me exactly how you did it?

Thank you in advance.

Here's the status of my Wink experiment:

Wink connected products: 7 Link bulbs, 2 Trippers, 1 Radio Thermostat, 1 Kwikset Lock.
Wemo connected products: Switch for bedroom light, Switch for Bed Heater.
Computer Environment: HP i7 running Win8.1, Samsung Galaxy Note3 running Kitkat, Asus Zen Watch running AndroidWear Lolipop.
Additional Apps: Wink(of course), Tasker, WemoManager, AutoVoice(for voice control), AutoLocation(for Geolocation), AutoRemote(lock my PC), and AutoWear{Beta}(for watch control).

The following tasks are automated:
Wake up(removal from charger), turn one Link light(Living Room Right) on and turn up the temperture.
Leave Home(leaving Home Geofence), dim Link light to 10%, lock deadbolt, and turn down temperture.
Return Home(entering Home Geofence), turn Link light to 100%, unlock door, and turn up temperture.
Twenty minutes before sunset(I get the sunset time from my Wemo server), turn on Kitchen Link light at 10%.
At 6pm the Bedroom window trigger sends a notification if the window is open.
About 1 hour before bed(set time) turn on bedroom light(Wemo) and turn on bed heater(Wemo).
Go to Sleep, turn off all lights, turn off bed heater, lock PC, lock deadbolt.
Wife comes home(Wink geolocation robot) turn on light above her chair.

Ad Hoc control: Voice control via Zen watch and via a web page on my PC.

Pretty much everything works, with the exception of the geolocation robot(I've yet to see it turn the light on, but it does seem to turn it off). I've had a problem(really anoying) with the hub losing contact with the router right before my "go to sleep" tasks. I ended up moving the hub to the bathroom and about 8 feet further from the router and that seems to have helped. Sometimes I'll need to repeat commands to the watch and the watch has limited(about 15 feet) Bluetooth range.

so far I only have 7 GE Link A19 bulbs and the Hub of course. Had no problems thus fair with scheduling, and the robots seems to work well with Geofencing. I have it set to turn certain lights on when I come home from work, and turn all lights off when I leave for work. No issues thus far.

My question, is that when I turn off certain lights via the switch, the app does not recognize the change in state of the bulb from ON to OFF. Will installing a wireless switch like Lutron change this? I still like the option of controlling lights manually via a switch, especially with young kids in the house?

And if so, almost every light in my home is on a 3 way so how would the wireless switch work in this circumstance?
