GE bulbs appear to work with SmartThings too....hmmmm. I bet the Trippers will work at some point. Maybe if I can catch a deal on the SmartThings hub, I should jump on it and compare them.
I suspect the Wink staff is overwhelmed. They have Quirky and GE sending them products to get online. They have a large amount of support to do for customers with things not working right. I'm sure there are things they thought they fixed that turned out to need additional work. (I work in IT, that happens all the time and it's awful...) They have new product partners they want to add. All the while they are trying to manage an image and brand. Doing that all is not easy. I'm willing to extend an olive branch for as long as progress continues to be made (and it definitely has been made).

Hi all! I've been lurking here for a few weeks but I had a question I was hoping y'all could help me with. I recently got the Wink hub to help centralize control of different components in my home (Nest, Hue bulbs, Somfy blinds, Z-wave locks and switches). I was able to very easily set everything up, however, with the blinds, I only have functionality for up and down. Does anyone know if the Wink app provides functionality for the tilt feature of horizontal blinds? Thanks in advance for your help.
Welcome aboard! You're actually the first person I know of to get the blinds, can you tell us more? Did you have to get the Zwave to RTS adapter? Did you go with the Bali solution?
I've had the Bali blinds with Somfy motors for awhile, but have been using their remote to control them. To link them with the Wink hub, I used the ZRTSI2 adapter. The setup between the 2 devices was very easy. I have roller shades that work great. But my horizontal blinds only have tilt motors. The up/down function on the Wink App tilts them completely up or down, but I can't figure out a way to stop them mid-tilt or to use the "my" function associated with the blinds that opens them to a preset position.
Plus, Smart Things already has their own line of sensors, which have excellent reviews:

I'd hang tight to see what's being rolled out at CES next week...since Samsung recently bought Smart Things, I'm sure they have big plans for it, along with all their Android Wear & Tizen TV player stuff. Would be neat to see broad integration across their product lineup!
After reading that a user did not know about dragging to dim lights in the Wink App, it occurred to me there are probably several other little tips/tricks/techniques we can share with each other.
I know that Wink expects these things to be intuitive, but with the lack of clear documentation, (and dare I say low barrier to entry), the Wink system does contain things that can be generally unapparent to ordinary consumers.
For my first offering, I submit to you "Dimming Lights in the Wink App":
The key thing here is that, despite the icon's shape, you don't need to drag in a circular motion. Only left-to-right.
Hope this helps a bit!
I have 2 of them. The state does not always update correctly. They told me, via Facebook, that they are going to make it work in an update soon.Does anyone know why Leviton Z wave on/off switches always display as "on" in the Wink app until you click on them? I thought I read earlier in this thread that this is a known problem.
I ended up going with a 21" HP Slate tablet as an additional controller (via the Wink app) due to the cheaper $239 price on Groupon & added functionality through Android apps, but I'm curious about your experiences with the Relay so far. I've been confused about actual standalone functionality of the Relay & it sounds like it's not much better than I figured it'd be. How has your experience been with it so far, other than the light state issue?
Kaido, you had a Lutron just stop working? Did you call Lutron about it? My whole house is fitted with Lutrons and they aren't showing any issues at all. Given that you and I can't have had Lutrons for more than a few months.. surely there's some sort of warranty.
There was a comment recently about the light switch not working and their wife being upset. I would not subject my wife nor anyone else with having to deal with a light switch that sometimes works.
The interesting part is that the Relay would turn grouped lights on nearly instantly all at once, much faster than the Hub. Is it possible that the Relay isn't using the Wink servers and is actually the local solution some people want, and just needs bugs worked out?
But your point is solid. Replace the words "light switch" with "shortcuts" or "schedules" or "robots" or "spotter sensors" and you basically have my situation: reluctant to bring any more Wink tech into the house until they've got this good and squared away.
When it doesn't work, I'm the one who looks like the idiot.
For every person posting a complaint on this thread I'm sure there are plenty more not bothering but also have complaints. There are things with Wink that are so ridiculously missing or working sporadically that I imagine there is a serious issue with management having development work on this product in a professional manner. Whether it's due to the company being based out of NY rather than Silicon Valley I don't know but that would be my guess.
As a toy and for very basic usage I'm still using this but for anything beyond that I wouldn't trust this product or the company making this at all. There was a comment recently about the light switch not working and their wife being upset. I would not subject my wife nor anyone else with having to deal with a light switch that sometimes works. That's just beyond the pale in my book. Inconveniencing myself, sure, not a problem, inconveniencing my family? No way.
