Looks like CDPR took a page from Rocksteady when they had us playing as Catwoman in Batman Arkham Asylum.

You see a really clear shot of Yennefer and Cirri in this trailer :thumbsup:

CDP always makes pretty slick trailers, but did anyone else notice the gameplay footage shown in this one looks like a major step down from some of the previous footage? THe 35min long 1080p60 video that was released a while back looked incredible. This looks . . . considerably worse. Xbox One footage maybe?

Not a fan of playing multiple characters and that last trailer's visuals look severely degraded from previous ones. I hope they're not doing a bait and switch like Watch Dogs.

Ciri is the main character in the books. Playing as her in the game would be great for the story, and relatively easy for CDP to do. Ciri follows a witcher-esque fighting style. It'd be neat to play as Triss or Yen, but they'd have to design and implement a magic based combat system.

I don't see a problem with it. How much more Geralt do we really need? He isn't exactly a burning flame of interest. If it sucks, it will suck because Ciri's character sucks, not because there's two playable characters.

Not even mad. Perfectly fine with a delay. The game is supposed to be massive. As long as I get a finished product and not an Assassin's Creed Unity, i'll be happy.

I'd rather CDP delay one more time than EA:Ubisoft it.

Lol, I can't even trust that the game works when they release a game now. I have to wait a couple of weeks to see if it actually is a finished product.

Similar to AC Unity. They entered crunch time, released a product, riddled with bugs and clearly unfinished. I don't want that from The Witcher 3. I need a true next gen game. This I'm confident will be it.

Plus, gives folks more time to save $$ for 300 series and GM200 upgrades. Games like The Witcher 3 force people to upgrade and in 6 months from now, there will be more affordable / or higher performance compared to today's prices. Most importantly, since this game is 35X the size of Witcher 2, the delay is probably really needed to ensure higher quality.

Release a broken game like Unity and the franchise's reputation, as well as that of the the developer, get severely tarnished.

Like if Unity had come out as a finished product, even if I needed SLI GTX 980s to stay at 60 FPS. If it had come out finished with great graphics, I would have said "I'll get that game!".
But the way it came out, I won't ever consider that franchise.

The Witcher 3, the more I hear about it the more epic it sounds. Pushed back? Oh well, I guess I'll get an R9 380x (or 2) and enjoy the game in 4K quality (if that's even possible). 35x the size of Witcher 2? Ya, ok, I can wait. Not like I'll be beating it anytime soon even if it was out now.

Witcher 2 was heavily PC-centric. The X360 version came out much later, after the Enhanced Edition was released. And no, TW2 was not a 'corridor RPG'.

And clearly, you haven't read the books. Ciri is the main character in the series. Geralt is not. Triss is not. Yennefer is not. Philipa is not.

I'm disappointed of course because it was getting so close, but not mad at all. Tw2 had some game breaking bugs in it at launch and with a much smaller scope. So I'm good with them trying to bring out a pretty solid game on day 1. Sadly may/June is frequently my busiest time at work :/
