Fair enough. Though to be frank I don't think Letho was really intended to be a villian.Is he doing a bad thing? Certainly and he's doing it for selfish reasons. But that's most everyone in the Witcher setting, including the Kings he's offed. Letho doesn't really care to be the bad guy but he knows Nilfgaard has him by the short hairs and by cooperating since the Emperor offered to throw support and refound Witcher schools, which he laments is becoming a dying breed. He protects Yennefer for Geralt, spares Geralt after Geralt tried to kill him, and later protects Triss if you don't. Heck you can let him go if you don't think he deserves death.
That's what I enjoy about these games, some great characterizations. Nobody is a saint, nobody is completely evil.
I agree, he wasn't the primary villain. The real boss fight was the dragon fight, not him. He was a gray area and optional.
