The witcher 1 EE crashes constantly on my computer. Looking for reasons why showed countless numbers of AMD and Nvidia users all experiencing crashing in Witcher 1. Anyone know of a definitive fix?

I effing NEED to finish TW2!!!!!!!!
Damn...and I'm not sure I still have my savegame file since my last format...
Gonna get on with it when my new 7950 comes in!

Just for my info, I think I was at the beginning of Act II just when you get back as Gerald...how long do I have to finish this game?

Crap, I still need to finish 2, but that probably won't happen until I build my new computer in early summer. I didn't even get that far when I started.

I need to go back and play TW2 again. I haven't even seen the alternate middle chapter of the game yet.

If you're beginning of Act 2, you got maybe another 15-18 hours.

Man, playing Witcher 2 on Hard is actually.....HARD! I've died several times and haven't even gotten out of Chapter 1 yet (or it might be the Prologue). Still only level 2 as a character.

It gets easier as you progress. I hate that in games, it happens all too often.

Sounds very promising indeed. TW3 is a solid no. 1 on my list of most anticipated games.

This particular point is slightly disturbing though:

- You’ll be involved with mutually exclusive storylines and situations based on certain momentous choices
- Won’t be on the same level as Witcher 2, however

This seems like a possible step in the wrong direction. IMO the most rewarding CRPG games are those with a high level of customizability to the story based on player choices.

TW2 did this rather well I thought - even if still slightly behind some of Biowares better titles.

I think what they mean is you don't have to choose between two differing story lines. Siding with the elves or the dwarves for example. The was drastic and changed what you did next a lot.

Yes and that's exactly what I think was a huge quality of the game. The option to make choices that fundamentally influence the storyline.

Seems like somewhat a dying breed in CRPG lately which saddens me.

So I am playing through the Witcher 1 and I am having a lot of fun but there's somethings I don't like.

The quest log is a convoluted mess I mean in Act II I was confused about what to do and I made like 10 trips to the swamp and back. It doesn't help that I need the information on the monsters before I can get some of the items for the side quest.

The funny thing is I think I have banged every single female NPC in the game so far.

Yeah, it gets a lot easier if you figure out to use the shield ability. Still effin' hard at the beginning though.

1st thing I did in Witcher 2 was download a mod that made all items weightless. Managing inventory is just waaaay too old school.

After taking a year and a half break, I finally got around to finishing TW2. Really enjoyed the game, probably lost a bit taking such a break .. I forgot a lot of what was doing on in the story. Tough decision regarding
Letho at the end
. Looking forward to TW3, by the time it's out, I'm going to have to reread The Witcher wiki's to remember all the story.

Witcher 3 will be epic! It one of my favourite games. And besides I love open world like in Skyrim - so I can't wait for it even more

True.
Having viewed him as evil incarnate for the entire game, I did change my mind in the end and spared him. He did not kill neither Geralt nor Triss Merigold, even if he could have and it would have made sense to do so in order to cover his tracks. Thought that kind of professional courtesy was worth returning. Even If I have a feeling that decision might come back to bite me in TW3

I feel essentially identically.
Maybe it's because I took about a year and a half off between the start of Chapter 3 and the end of the game, so maybe my anger toward Letho and my kinship feelings toward Foltest waned, but I felt the same way in the end. A bit like, "I don't agree with what you did, but I understand why, and if I had come from the same place as you, I may have made the same decisions." Ditto regarding professional courtesy. As much as Geralt plays in the world/politics of humans, I, as the player, have never really felt like I/he belonged there, and always operated a bit outside. So it's a bit easier for me to distance myself from the "lawful" choices and take on a more chaotic good/chaotic neutral stance.

Does CDP have enough people working on 2 games at the same time? Do they need to hire me to help out? Because I'd gladly do it. I have a very generous hard-on for both Witcher3 and Cyberpunk.

They've pretty much hired a whole new team to work on Cyberpunk, IIRC. So they have two groups of people working on both games at the same time. Hopefully the second group is as talented as the first. (I figure as much. I also imagine there will be some crossover between the teams, to provide QA and feedback, stuff like that)

They also revealed that they're releasing The Witcher 3 for PS4, and in fact they've been developing with the PS4 for some time now. That's nuts. Seems like just a few years ago, CDP Red was a low-profile little studio. They're playing with the big boys now.

I don't care so much about having 15 "main" endings. I care about great story and gameplay. Sure, situations and people being influenced by your choices are lovely, but an overall wonderful story and character development should be the main focus. Even with only 1 storyline ending.

I beat it on Dark Mode. Once you get the first set of Dark mode gear and get your dodge distance upgraded it was cake.

Except for The Operator, that guy took me lots of tries.
