I hope this fucker is out this year.
I doubt it. It will be released in 2014 most likely, my guess is spring or maybe summer.

Ok so watching gameplay videos of Witcher 2 it didn't look like something I'd want to play... at all. But everyone getting all excited is making me wonder... what makes this series so good?
Geralt himself is an excellent character. He's not the typical villager of humble origins. He's an alchemically modified mutant trained from youth to slay monsters for a populace that would prefer to shun him and call him freak. A world weary cynic who'd rather go his own way than get involved with the politics that inevitably tracks him down.
Don't forget, he likes red heads.
I hope this fucker is out this year.
Looks like the game may be 64 bit as well. The Wiki entry on the Red Engine 3 claims it was designed specifically for 64 bit platforms:

A forum member on the Witcher board posted that the game would be 64 bit as well in a thread I made there:

I pressed him for a source, so hopefully he'll get back with me. It makes sense for this game to be 64 bit though, due to the open World design with no loading screens and no artificial boundaries or transitions.
Why on earth don't devs get away from using bloom?? There is so much of it in W2 that it's just ugly and looks to be even more in W3.
only thing i want to know is do i have to plat w2 in order to get whats happening in w3???
