New Game +, is this really a must? What does it add to the game and experience of it?
I'm asking cause i'm only level 23 and feel i've not even scratch the surface of the game hahah...so NG+, what doea it add?
...turn off AA for better visuals?
performance maybe, but not turn off. reduce from max.
The Nvidia AA is crap.
in-game or hardware? Is there a difference if you have an NVidia card vs AMD?
I usually have an AMD card, and I sort of 50/50 force hardware or use in-game. TBH, I rarely notice a difference unless I have AA completely off and everything just looks bad.
No, its not about the card, but the type of AA used. It doesnt seem to do much of anything but blur everything to Sovngarde.
right, so you can just use and force hardware AA then, no? Ignore the in-game AA.
What's with the strange sky color?
just looking at some of the new grandmaster bonuses for the witcher gear--i currently only have access to ursine and Griffin.
...why do the Ursine bonuses only effect Quen? I never really liked that set because I prefer the max DPS from the light sets, but it seems that Quen is least useful on Ursine? I guess I just don't know the playstyle--do you spend more time in monster's faces pummeling away because you don't get to kill things as fast with the lower crit chance?
I think it is supposed to be a set designed to make you a tank like character.
I just started the first expansion, man I'm going to miss this series. Its been an amazing decade of Witcher games and this is probably the best way to send it off into the sunset.
Im waiting to buy all the expansions and upgrade my gpu before continuing the game. I'm still very early on anyway. I think it will be kept installed for a while.
I usually don't like RPG games but this one is a huge exception. The devs are very skilled and put a lot of effort to perfect it, despite it being a small studio.
I need to upgrade it in general. I'm not getting all the settings I want maxed with decent fps. Plus it's something I had in mind doing anyways. You already have a 7970, I am pretty sure you do not need to upgrade your GPU to play this game.

Well I'll wait for 480 fps bench marks and the 1070 benchmarks separate comparison so I choose between one. I may have to wait until July at the rate things are going with releases.yeah wait for that 480/480x or maybe 490/490x, hope you get one within the 5 seconds the entire stock sells out, and further hope not to have to pay $400-600 for one on July 1.

I'm the same way. Bought this card and kept it for 4+ years and I like that. I'm sure amd has more than just variants in memory for the 480. At 250 to 300 they must have something a bit more powerful, well see.I hear ya. I'm waiting for the 490 or 490x, I think, assuming those come out at the ~$300 target that is *supposed* to top out the Polaris chips, and the current limited details are to be believed.
However, I fully expect Polaris chips to be essentially unavailable for the first 2 or even 3 months....at MSRP, anyway. But I'm in no need to upgrade right now, so I can wait. Plenty of time to make fair comparisons. I'm getting the idea that nVidia has pushed themselves into a 1 year lifespan with their current architecture....at least according to the smartest smartypants people around here.
I like to hang on to hardware for 3-5 years. NVidia has never really fit my profile because of this.
