I came up as a LIBERTARIAN much to the dismay of the resident Republicans on here.

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

Edit: Thanks to my cousin for sending the link, I had no idea he was into Politics. :shocked:

They need more options for some of the questions like
"Let people control their own retirement; privatize Social Security."

Privatizing SS is about the stupidest idea I have ever heard. People are already free to have their own private bank accounts so there is no need to reinvent the wheel by privatizing SS just start cutting benifits and means testing rather than creating yet another type of retirment account.

There's always the difference of what someone thinks they think and what someone actually does when asked to take a position. It's kind of like the "does my ass look fat in these" political question.

I take it you are unemployed or otherwise don't pay taxes.

If I could invest my FICA tax privately, I could retire 10 years earlier (I'd have >$500,000 saved by 55 from investing FICA money alone).

For years I've viewed this quiz as a propaganda tool for the libertarians, to get many people to think they are libertarian.
