LIBERTARIAN

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 80%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 80%.

This quiz is far too simple, but its basic idea is true.

It's hogwash, IMO. The number of posters above who come up libertarian is no surprise.

That's what I was going to post. This poll is propaganda designed by libertarians.

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters.

They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace

individual responsibility,

oppose government bureaucracy and taxes,

promote private charity,

tolerate diverse lifestyles,

support the free market,

and defend civil liberties.

Centrist? REALLY?

Well I'll be, I guess I'm one of those newfangled "moderates" I keep hearing about.

I picked up on that too. I don't necessarily disagree with the libertarian viewpoint, but the website IS run by libertarians, and ALOT of posters are voting they ended up as such.

Or people don't believe in excessive regulation and don't trust government to solve their problems.

There is no propaganda there.

"Let people control their own retirement; privatize Social Security."

Privatizing SS is about the stupidest idea I have ever heard. People are already free to have their own private bank accounts so there is no need to reinvent the wheel by privatizing SS just start cutting benifits and means testing rather than creating yet another type of retirment account.

I take it you are unemployed or otherwise don't pay taxes.

If I could invest my FICA tax privately, I could retire 10 years earlier (I'd have >$500,000 saved by 55 from investing FICA money alone).

70/100 libertarian for me.

Goverment spending less money means they will take less money. You would then be able to spend or save the money as a result of the tax reduction.

Privatizion is a scam, to let the goverment increase SS tax not decrease it. The only way your going to keep more of your money is if SS benifits are cut.

ACCORDING TO YOUR ANSWERS,
The political description that
fits you best is...

LIBERAL

LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal
matters, but tend to support significant government control of the
economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net"
to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation
of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations,
defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action
to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 80%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 30%.

There is no propaganda there.

Political parties put out messages for marketing purposes which are not accurate about their policies, but are designed to get people to relate to the message and vote for them.

Democrats don't want people starving and support personal freedoms - you disagree?

Republicans are for a 'strong nation' and lower taxes - you disagree?

Libertarians are against "excessive regulation and don't trust government to solve their problems" - you disagree?

Your summary of the Libertarian party's policies is one of those phony marketing descriptions, not an accurate one.

Few people who look at the *real* details and implications of the Libertarian party agree. It's said everyone agrees with some libertarian policies.

The bottom line is that the radical Libertarian party has few members, and would like more; and this propaganda quiz has done great for them at making more consider them.

The quiz is a way of making the party seem more mainstream than it is, for recruiting new members.

You know, trolls are not worth the photoshop time to make this crap and only makes them more rabid. Don't feed them although they do make a delicious target.

Kinda makes you wish P&N had a public restroom though, I am sure the walls would be good for a chuckle while taking care of buisness.

Anyhow, expect a mod to come in here and scrub real soon.

Thats what I was thinking.
I knew before I entered Senior High that the Democrats and Republicans were both full of crap and neither one was focused on solving Americas problems. It wasnt until after 6 or 7 years in the Navy that I learned about the libertarians. Always voted for a third party simply because I cant support the two big guys.

Not a registered party affiliate but I vote for them. I like the concept that one party can have most of my viewpoints and not be completely full of crap at the same time.

Though I will say that the poll is way too simplified for an accurate representation of what most people probably feel.
