It's not just PI, it's helmet-to-helmet as well. It's a horrible no call.
Honestly, dumb stuff like this is one of the contributing factors to my declined interest in the NFL.

Who cares, its only the NFC. Does anyone actually watch the game?

well, if it weren't for the Pats every couple of years, no one in the AFC would win anything, so the NFC is truly the only interesting conference in the NFL. I really can't stand most of the AFC. It doesn't help that they are more aligned with the CBS broadcast, which is simply the most saccharine group to broadcast sports. Jim Nance, really? Back to golf and figure skating, bro.

Also a facemask grab...although that was not as easy to see in real time as the other two fouls.

Nance and Sims were HORRIBLE. But Sims has been replaced with Romo who is currently the gold standard.

DB wasn't even pretending to look at the ball. Honestly that whole game was a clinic on how not to officiate a sporting event.

Can't believe NFL refs are getting a paycheck and the Coast Guard isn't.

He flat out said after the game that he expected to be called for PI but he didn't care because he was beat and wanted to stop a touchdown. Stopping a TD with PI is better than a TD.

Oh right Buffalo. I knew it was Hazcjzsik's team, just put him on the wrong one.
We Buffalo fans are still sour about it to this day. And the Music City Miracle happened about 6.5 months later, which started Buffalo's 17-season absence from the playoffs.

You're right, the Broncos, Steelers, Ravens, and Colts didn't actually win the Super Bowl the times they did the past 15 years.

There's definitely some bad announcers on the AFC side, but NFC announcers are worse. Do they still have Aikman and Joe Buck as a team? Bill, Boomer, and Dan > Bradshaw, Jimmy, and Howie. I like Howie and Jimmy to be honest, but Bradshaw is worse than Aikman and Buck even, he's like the worst aspects of Madden paired with the worst aspects of himself. Strahan is ok but he adds little and way too often they just devolve into a bunch of chucklefucking because of Bradshaw's bumbling. Pam Oliver and Erin Andrews are solid and deserve bigger roles.

Nance and Sims were HORRIBLE. But Sims has been replaced with Romo who is currently the gold standard.

I agree. They weren't enjoyable. Just not a good pairing. I think Sims wasn't good in that role (something about his commentary strikes me as though he was being fed what to say, or was just saying fairly generic "I'd look for them to try to get their megastar player more involved in the 2nd half" type of comments), and Nantz wasn't there to make up for that (wanna say he's more "just the facts, ma'am" type of commentator).

I have enjoyed Romo's announcing. He was a bit rough early on but that's gotten better already and give it more time and he gets more comfortable I think he'll be an all time great. Unfortunately, I think his football knowledge will age poorly and the inverse of his announcing skills. But he'll probably have 5 years where he's comfortable calling the game and his knowledge is recent/relevant enough that it lets him offer real insight that he'll be great to listen to.

Maybe he'll prove me wrong and he'll keep adapting (although I'd imagine he'd be angling for coaching jobs if he were to keep up on things that much). Or maybe the game is changing so quickly that his insight will quickly subside. I could kinda see it go either way.

I have no idea if it was even a possibility, but I'm so glad he didn't get paired with Witten (who is awful as an announcer from what I saw).

Romo the gold standard? wtf is this bizarro land?

No, its reality. Romo is probably the best NFL announcer right now. I can't think of a better one. And frankly, looking back, I can't think of a single announcer that was better as long as I've watched the NFL (since early 90s). There's been teams (the old Al Michaels, Frank Gifford, and Dan Dierdorf MNF team was probably my favorite team) that were better, but singular announcers, I can't name any. I can overlook Romo's rough edges as an announcer for his insight and enthusiasm.

While I used to kinda strongly dislike him, Collinsworth was actually enjoyable this year. Granted its probably because its finally a player on my team he's fawning over almost the entire game, but I think it was more than that. Its like he studied some of the ways he was being annoying (I think he even poked fun at himself a few times over things that people criticized him for) and kinda toned that stuff down, while keeping the positive parts. But I think Romo is what Collinsworth is trying to be (former player offering genuine insight and excitement about the game and the players themselves especially; Collinsworth is the better announcer - not surprising given he has more experience at it, I'd say their enthusiasm is about even, but Romo's insight is much more than Collinsworth's at the moment).

Technically, the commissioner could replay the game starting at that particular point of the game (according to the rules).

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/commissioner-authority-action-over-rams-045113325.html

"And here’s where it gets even juicier. Consider Rule 17, Section 2, Article 3: “The Commissioner’s powers under this Section 2 include . . . the reversal of a game’s result or the rescheduling of a game, either from the beginning or from the point at which the extraordinary act occurred.”

Basically, the Commissioner has the power to turn back time to the spot of the penalty that wasn’t called, put the teams back on the field from that point in the game, give the Saints first and goal at the spot of the foul, put 1:49 on the clock, and let the game proceed, tied at 20, with the Rams having one time out left."

I don't think the non-call qualifies:

Rule 17, Section 2, Article 1: “The Commissioner has the sole authority to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary and/or corrective measures if any club action, non-participant interference, or calamity occurs in an NFL game which the Commissioner deems so extraordinarily unfair or outside the accepted tactics encountered in professional football that such action has a major effect on the result of the game.”

If the commissioner didn't replay the game over deflategate (the real reason the rule is there - extraordinary interference), then this won't be replayed.
