one movie that was so bad that it was good was the flick with the guy who worked at the walmart like store, that got taken away by somethign that chased him in the woods, and he went back to middle ages and had a shotgun and a chainsaw attached to his severed arm. hahha, classic. when he jumps up in the air and the chainsaw landed on his stump, i had to pause it i was laughing so hard.

Anyone remember Baseketball? Yuck yuck yuck. I personally think the Rush Hour movies suck. Same joke for an hour and a half. Crazy black guy, confused asian martial artist save the day. *yawn* Basic premise was done in the cartoon Dudley Doo Right. Oh yeah.. that movie was horrid too.

The movie only scared you if you allowed yourself to be immersed into their world and if you allowed yourself to believe for the time watching that these "home videos" were real.

Really, so I had to put effort into being scared? I'm sure that with enough "immersion", someon could be scared by a picture of a coffee mug.

See, it was THEIR job, as is the job of any moviemaker, to convince me. I wasn't convinced. Many, MANY, MANY people weren't convinced. Many pretended to be convinced, and some, "ill-believe-anything-that-comes-across-my-face" people did believe it. Sorry, I wasn't part of the latter.

The movies appeal was only possible through a mass hype. To those who didn't buy the hype, it fell flat on its face.

You say it's their job to convince you and that you don't want to put any effort into watching a film, god forbid you think, but then you say that some people just believe anything that comes across their faces. Well, without putting in any effort, wouldn't you just believe everything that comes across your face?

I think you fall into one of these "I'm going to hate it because it's cool crowd" because you obviously know nothing about movies.
