The worst movie ever made

I can't believe that no one has mentioned Star Wars: Episode I. That's certainly one of the worst movies, if not THE worst movie, of all time. Of course, Mission Impossible II was pretty bad, too.

Correction: Now that I've read the entire thread, I see that there are some people who were able to see through the hype and computer-generated crap of Star Wars. Kudos, monto.

Sure those are some bad movies, but has any ever seen THE PEST
WORST.MOVIE.EVER.
Tries soooooo hard to be funny but never even cracks a smile. I love dumb comedies, but this movie was just dumb.

Honerable complaints go to Jurassic Park 2. All I remember is the little (Goldblum should have forced a DNA test) girl beating up Raptors with gymnastics. Any repect for Spielburg instantly vanishes.

It's a Stephen King book that was adapted. About an industrial linen press that gets possessed and starts 'eating' people.

However, I found out last week there is actually a Mangler 2. Somehow a high school computer network gets possessed this time and starts killing. Haven't seen it yet, so it may be trying to compete for worst ever. >>

I could not agree more. The Mangler was the most pathetic move I'd ever seen. Horrible horrible horrible!

Too many to list. But whats the worst genre? I can say cheap horror flicks can't be taken seriously. i've seen way too many. And way too many unheard of stephen king movies like the mangler (yes i've seen it) and some otehr one that was like "night demon" or something. i dunno. There are horrible movies but a lot of them are in the cheap horror genre. But sometimes, its so bad its funny. Ever seen dawn of the dead. now that.. is a classic.. and real bloody. but damn its just so obvious. loooks like paint. God im exhausted already. oh and dumb and dumber, fifth element, and contact all were good movies. But the postman.. the poster puts me to sleep

Wow, I've read a few pages of this post and cannot imagine how people said The Postman... I've seen this movie one time, and I can imagine that not many of you others have seen it as it wasn't exactly popular... in fact I had never heard of it until I watched it on tv! Anyway I liked this movie a LOT it was very emotional, the whole hero is gonna save the day type, but you don't know what's gonna happen next, etc... yes I liked this movie! I wish I could see it again!

You guys are all amateurs.. If you can find it, go rent "Forbidden Zone", starring Herve Villechaize ("the plane! the plane!") Until you have seen this movie, you have no concept of the depths of awfulness movies can sink to.

"The 5th Element" was silly, but it has stunning visuals and an excellent sense of humor. It's one of my all-time favorites.
"Battlefield Earth" is my #2 pick behind Forbidden Zone
"Congo" was pretty awful as well.

I'm also surprised no one mentioned Rocky Horror.
