What was that Jurassic Park game? Trespasser? I think Minnie Driver provided the voice of the main character.

Comet cursor, that thing piece of crap took down hundreds of machines where I work (even after rebuilds, people would put it back on), oh yeah, AOL is up there too.

have to DISAGREE with those.

The old Aladdin Expander that did ONLY that was AWESOME. Loved it. Now you have to install the Demo of the full software & it sucks.

WS_FTP may be kinda ol skool GUI - but it's still the ONLY FTP client that consistently works to access my FTP through my Dlink DI-701, so I recommend it many times. (It's passive mode works great - compared to some other clients)

RtCW Multiplayer - WHAT?

It is your right to disagree, but for what it is worth here is why I picked 'em.

Aladdin explorer. It is horrible to use if you have never used it before. It doesn't do what you would expect it to do and your options are limited to say the least.

Computing and software development advances every day, yet WS_FTP is stuck in the Windows 3.11 era. Half of a program's functionality lies on the GUI. It offers nothing unique, a lot of other FTP clients will what it does and much more using a very attractive and user friendly GUI (Absolute FTP, BPFTP, CuteFTP, etc.) so its existance is meaningless to me.

RTCW Multi. It has nothing new to offer to a gamer as far as gameplay is concerned, the player movement is really bad and the recoil unrealistic. Most of the maps are unbalanced and the GUI very confusing. Did any of you have any idea of what to do after you join a server the first time you played it?

<shaking head> what... it's fine to say that it's not your type of game or so but to say nothing new or player movement is bad is behond me.

OK, are you joking ? Aladdin Expander is the EASIEST program to use.
#1. you can set it to automatically just unzip to a folder of same name as file in same folder as file.
#2. you can set it to automatically unzip to the same folder EVERY time
#3. you can drag a zip file onto it's icon & have it unzipped.

for me - it does what i want - unzip the file - quickly & doesn't bother me with stupid adware type crap or shareware messages. I'll admit I use it less now because XP has built in unzipper - but for Win2K it was always one of the first programs I installed.

WS_FTP, I'm not disagreeing with you on GUI point - but a GUI ISN"T what a program is about. A program is meant to DO something & if it does it well & quickly - then I'm happy. Case in point, CuteFTP, Bulletproof FTP, practically any FTP program had problems seeing my FTP server. WS_FTP didn't & worked for 100% of the people who I told to try it (because they couldn't get on w/ Cute or BP) BP had like a 10% working rate & Cute was even below that. I don't really care how the app looks so long as it works well (TMPGEnc is like that too, works awesome - but obvious the author doesn't give a cr@p about the GUI)

I'd have to say you're wrong about RtCW - there's all kinds of strategies involved. Have you ever played on a LAN as opposed to online? or with a clan? With planning & direction it's a completely different game.

Yep, M$ft Bob.......so sorry, M$ft had no references to it on their site, last time I checked. Why the hail they thought it would be cool to put a sorry OS on top of a decent OS (W95....at the time), I'll never figure out.

LOL.....my Dad hadda reinstall it on my sis's pc cause she's got all her Kindergarten school stuff in Bob. He's told her, to get that crape outta there, or next time, she's on her own. We warned her when she got it not to use it.
