Cheers to Golden Bear for being on top of this. Extreme hitting. Lets see.. last week I saw a man laying on the field and his leg seemed to be pointing... THE WRONG FVCKING Direction!! You see average hits being called brutal. What do you call that? That must have been sorta of a hard hit eh?

Shinerburke, you're being flat out rude. Golden is basing his arguement around quotes, and facts, and making valid points and the best you can do is insult him? Seems to me like he's winning this little arguement.

As long as we're flinging insults it seems like you're a jealous that all those men who dreamed of playing football as a career ..LIKE YOU... are actually getting a shot at it even though they couldn't make the NFL andYOU can't.

I second the cheerleader coverage. The games themselves aren't half bad if they fast forwarded everyone. Sheesh, have you seen these bozos? Half of them look like they're running in molasses. Heck arena football is more exciting to watch. But seriously, it's not targeted at serious fans. I think the XFL needs to show more skin.

Am I jealous that my football career was ended? Yes, a little but that's not why I'm so down on the XFL. The reason I, and apparently millions of others, don't like the league is because it's a poorly played brand of football that claimed from the beginning to be &quot;better and more extreme than the NFL.&quot; Ohhhhh so a guy got his league broke last week and that makes it extreme?? Shiner: sounds to me that your pissed that these has beens no matter how bad they play are being paid and are in fact playing which is more than you will ever do. The play isnt that bad and the fact that ratings dropped isnt that big of a suprise. The debut drew the most due to novelty, once gone they drew 1/2 of the debut weekend and it has leveled off since then to what they expected. Vince has to keep something of a 3 or 4 share to make money and I am pretty sure that he has met or exceeded his required rating each week.

The success of the XFL will not affect the WWF at all.

As for the cheerleaders, I am very happy about the cheerleaders and I think any hetero male would appreciate their costumes/stripper gear no problem.

I think if this XFL wasnt associated with the WWF that most of the bashers would be all about it, but since it is associated most of you in you small minds assume it must be choreographed or how you would put it &quot;fake&quot; therefor has no validity.

I dont think it matters to anyone whether this league stays or goes, those who like it will continue watching and those who dont will change the channel, its a choice....

No, not really. Sure I'm regretful that a guy driving a semi ended my football career but I don't dwell on it. I went on and earned two Bachelor's degrees and one Masters and make more in a year that those XFL guys will in two or three. The only reason I even mentioned the fact that I played football was because GB accused me of not knowing what &quot;real&quot; football is.

My gripe from the beginning has been that the level of play is somewhere between high school and division III NCAA. While that's not necessarily a bad thing it is less than the league has been hyped as. Remember the commercials that said the XFL was going to be &quot;real football&quot; and that it was going to be &quot;more extreme than that other league?&quot;

I'd like to see how fast some of you guys can move in full gear in single digit weather. The game that I saw replayed on Sunday night at NY was played in 8 degree weather. I doubt some of you people have ever been in 8 degree weather, let alone played a game of full contact football in it. Do you have any idea how hard that ground is at that temperature? Any idea how hard it is to hold on to a ball, let alone catch a 15 yard pass with a lot of zip behind it in temperatures that cold?

Give the league some time to iron out the wrinkles. How good do you think the NFL was 45 years ago?

I agree with Red Dawn about the baseball statement. I don't know how it will go with the possibility of an upcoming work stoppage though.
