There any Dub lovers around here???

Just wondering if there are any VW lovers around here.... i picked up a 85 Golf GL a few months ago thats been a project car... probably gonna take 2-3 years before its done but once it hits the road the plan is to swap in a 2.0 Turbo'd Crossflow making about 225-250 hp... FK Coilover springs and a complete set of Neuspeed anti sway bars front and rear and tower bars as well. I figure i'll have about 5-6k invested in it once its done and it will hopefully be about a 13 sec 1/4 mile car and will be mroe than able to handle the corners as well. And to top it off it should leave about 99% of the Honda's in the dust I had never owned or cared much about dubs before this car but i got into it and they are a blast to drive and work on. Just somethin' to occupy my time since PC's just ain't doing it for anymore lol I'm trying to find a 92 G60 Corrado right now as well, totally love the way those look.

No kidding... there's a couple bugs here in the PNW that do 9 and 10 sec quarter miles... all out of a air cooled 4 banger I'm planning on my Golf to be a sleeper... it will be lowered mainly for handling but everything else is gonna be left pretty much stock minus the engine of course

First car I drove was a manual tranny 85 Jetta GL which sits in the driveway waiting to go to the v.o.a. donation... runs, for now.

Car I currently own, 97 Jetta GLS - Memory Red and manual tranny. VWs are not made for automatic transmissions.

Good luck finding a Corrado that hasn't been wrecked. Around here, VWs are notorious for having jackass drivers.

old school VW Bug. I'd have three. One with the original motor (all original with numbers matching). Second with a worked aircooled motor. Third with a 993 flat-6 twin turbo motor. MMMM..
