There is a little grey mouse in my office. I saw him running around, so I put a saltine cracker on the floor for him. He tried to take it without me noticing, but as soon as he saw me looking at him he dropped it and ran under my desk. Now he is under my desk. He seemed cute. I hope is not carrying any diseases or anything.

At my second job, there was a huge escape of lab mice a couple years ago. So every now and then I'll see a little white mouse scamper across or down the halls.

I like to think they're infected with the rage virus and it's only a matter of time...

I don't think he will risk coming out again while I am here.
I am going to bring a mouse catcher from my house Monday with a bit of peanutbutter inside.
It's not harmful, he just pushes into the plastic container and cannot get out again.

I have two mice at home as pets. They were store bought though. I don't know if I will keep him if I catch him.

Keep him on your desk at work until facilities complains.

Better yet, build a terrarium for him out of an old CRT and when people ask, say it's your screensaver.

You've either never seen a mouse or have seen too many... For some stupid reason, they still freak me out when they dart across the floor (none in the house this past year thankfully).

Don't keep it if you catch it.
It's going to be carrying all kinds of fun diseases and parasites.

Put it in the coffee pot instead.

Back home, in the basement, the previous owner seemed to love the look of rough, dark-stained oak. So the paneling was exterior-grade oak, and if you'd run your shoulder against it, you could take off some skin.
Anyway, you want something to freak you out? How about a mouse running up the goddamn wall as you're sitting quietly at the computer?

Not related to that little incident (which was probably 10-15 years ago), I have ripped out all of that horridly ugly paneling, which lacked any insulation or moisture barrier behind it, and replaced it with a much better wall - insulated, with a moisture barrier, and considerably less-ugly paneling.

Put on some boots and socks on your hands for protection. Throw him into a pot with a lid, then take him outside and dump him in the sewer. Leave the pot there for someone else who can't afford a pot... because what are you going to do? Cook with it again after you've had a mouse in it which probably was so scared it defecated a little in it?

cut off his head and place it on a stake at the foot of your desk as a warning to all other mice.
