my Sooners are getting man-handled by a much better team overall tonight. As much as I hate that I just cant see how anyone would vote Alabama over OSU. they are doing an amazing job tonight offensively and defensively. who in their right mind would want to sit through another snooze fest?

let osu offense run up against lsu defense, now that money im willing to pay to see.

I have no doubts the voters are gonna put OSU in the title game now, with their "impressive" win over a team that lost to Texas Tech at home and to Baylor. It doesn't matter who the opponent is, however, as LSU is gonna crush them. The only team to play LSU tough this year was *gasp* Alabama.

Like I said above, let another team gets the shot. Yes, it would be much better if we have some kinds of playoff system but we all know that will not happen anytime soon.

If LSU offense and QB would play like they did in the first half of today game (12 total yards, more sacks allowed than pass completions, zero first down), they will suffer their first loss. UG should got at least 21 points instead of only 10 (2 sure TDs passes were dropped). LSU defense and their special team (punter and returner) were their saving grace today in the first half.

I would not be too sure about OSU over Bama. Nothing against Bama but I just don't want to watch "Slug Fest Part II" between Bama and LSU again. We will wait and see until tomorow when the bowls selection come out.

I think if you ask any college football fans about this choice for BCS Championship game: 1) Bama vs. LSU (again) or 2) OSU vs. LSU. I am pretty sure they will pick #2 by a large margin.

About the SECCG today...woulda, shoulda, coulda, the final score was 42-10. Another slaughter. Every facet of the game counts, so yea, of course LSU's defense and special teams helped them in the first half. They have one of the best D's in the land, and their special teams has been damn good as well. LSU is real good.

Another team deserves a shot. Think back to when OSU and Meatchicken played the 'game of the century,' and some were arguing for a rematch. Both of them got blown out in the bowls. Some other team (okie st imo) should get a shot at LSU.

Maybe LSU and bama aren't really that good, just like OSU and UM back then. I don't think so, but it should be put to the test.

Beating OU isn't an accomplishment this year. They had no business being ranked #10. Tech beat OU at OU and Tech is 5-7(2-7).

I agree. A bowl game should pit two top teams from different conferences. That's pretty much the oldest and most recognized bowl game tradition and the only one really worth keeping.

Nobody wants to see an LSU-Alabama bowl game just like nobody wants to see a Michigan-Wisconsin bowl game or a Washington-UCLA bowl game. Bowl games are about bragging rights between conferences.

I reluctantly cede that the SEC is the strongest conference. Now for the sake of drama and the national viewing audience's pleasure, give someone else a chance to knock down Goliath.

The Boise State-Oklahoma bowl game (considered a classic and arguably the most entertaining bowl game ever) would have lost a lot of it's luster had it been Kansas State instead of Boise State.

I know this doesn't sit well with Alabama fans, but outside of the SEC (probably just Alabama) nobody wants to see a rematch.

It shouldn't come DOWN TO WHO WANTS TO SEE WHAT. Thats why they came up with the BCS. Before the BCS, you had football politics and ratings determine who got to play for the national title(or not because #1 rarely played #2).

Yeah no one wants to see a re-match, but LSU and Alabama are head and shoulders better than anyone else. They should play. Its about competition, not ratings or what people want to see.

The SEC should leave the BCS and push for a playoff system if the BCS allows Okie State jump into the title game. The SEC already wants a playoff system. If Alabama gets wrongly snubbed, they should just go full bore until a playoff is accomplished.

It really comes down to one statistic. OkSt lost to a 6-6 team. Again, OkSt lost to a 6-6 team. Alabama lost to a 13-0 team and the unanimous #1 team in the country. OkSt, lost to a 6-6 team that rarely makes a bowl appearance. That is the bottom line and its really all that needs to be said.

seriously: this is how NCAA football is currently set-up. If you feel jobbed simply by the fact that you lost one game at home, then keep praying for a real playoff system, because the way Bama lost that game to LSU, they lost their chance at the title.

I think what DLP said in post #16 said it much better than I did. I did enjoy the previous game between LSU @ Bama because I am a LSU fan. I just simply stated what most/majority of college football fans want, let another 1 loss team has a shot at LSU instead of Bama (no one is saying Bama is a bad or worse team than OSU or any other 1 loss teams).
