No kidding. So judging from your posts you support the NSA and Patriot Act and the like?

They are a necessity at this time. Especially in Britain and most of Europe where there has been an increase in terrorist incidents.

We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed
Indeed. The ideology of May&co (that their administration should censor Internet) should not be allowed to breed unquestioned?

I don't understand this line of reasoning. The increased surveillance may prevent some incidents, but it does nothing to address the cause or the source. Until something is done about Saudi Arabia and the various gulf despotisms (the home and centre of Wahhabi Islam), as well as the west's continued support of these regimes the attacks will continue.

Sorry bro, but all the surveillance in the world won't prevent this shit. These guys could have met, orchestrated and committed these acts without ever touching a computer or phone.

You are correct, they could have, but did they? Seems unlikely that they never did.

sadly, free speech is a bitch. trying to regulate internet speech is simply a game of whackamole as everyone here well knows, and it plays right into the hands of becoming the very thing that you're supposedly trying to avoid by being democratic - authoritarianism.

after all, what speech is extremist? anything the government doesn't like?

Thats how you expose yourself(may) as an old * that havent kept up with the times and actively refuses to do so.. sums up brexit pretty well.. old farts that wont have to live with the consequences of their actions.

Doesn't really matter. All our current surveillance obviously wasn't enough. This is all about trade offs. How much freedom are we willing to give up in order to prevent some incidents, because we cannot prevent them all. Sure, it sucks when something horrible like this happens, but that is the price of true freedom. Every time we surrender more freedom, the terrorists win a little bit more.

Also all these laws, Snooper's Charter/Patriot Act etc are never going away.

Take away everyone's rights & privacy and these acts will only get worse. It does seem to reassure the general population temporarily though. Wierd that.

Impale your anus on a bottle of vodka, sputnik.

What exactly are you talking about? Get it together, take a pill, and chill.

Regardless, Theresa May is obviously well intentioned, but the idea of more Internet regulation and spying is the opposite of what we should be striving for in a free society.

There is already enough legal spying on the population. Enough is enough.

"Terrorism" is a tool used by the government/media/military to dominate and control its population.

After a supposed "terrorist" attack, the only people who benefit are the government/media/military/bankers. That is a fact.

Really she has no better ideas to protect her country? She should resign then.
Nope, this is similar to 9/11. You know, the war that was used to justify America's conquering of the Middle East for WMDs - attacking countries that had nothing to do with 9/11.

But no, keep on being afraid of the Muslim boogeyman while your Western governments destroy innocent people all over the world for the sake of "preventing terrorism."

So after two terrorist attacks taking place within weeks of each other, her only response to the problem at hand is some retarded internet regulation? Wasn't this wise and beautiful woman also responsible for cutting down the police force by about 20,000 police officers, which is the one thing you DON'T want at a time like this?

I get the feeling that this wench has no interest in actually leading the country, and she's trying to shoot herself in the foot as much as possible to avoid any attempt to do so. It's almost like she doesn't want to be the one responsible for overseeing Brexit when it happens.

Obviously they already knew about these people. How else could they have tracked down and arrested more than 10 suspects / associates in less than 24 hours after the attack. Seems strange to me.

This whole thing reeks to high heaven. I don't have enough data to judge yet but this smells like a false flag.

They collect data on all of us but they can't go through all that data for everyone. Once someone does something though, they can mine the data for anything they want to know. Believe me, if you ever committed an act like this, agents would be talking to every person you ever had contact with and watching archived video of every time you masturbated to internet porn in front of your webcam.
