He got the point!

You replied to someone who suggested the use of 90% alcohol and you said that it may have up to 30% water!

He told you (quite reasonably) that 90% alcohol cannot have 30% water.

One thing is for sure. One of us is not getting the point!

The TIM on Athlon-64 heatsinks is not a "pad." I swear I read somewhere that it's Shin Etsu that's spread out in a square... I could be wrong though since I haven't been able to find where I read that. But it's definately different than the old wax based pads that AMD used with the Athlon XP.

weird. well i say it's damn time better pads were used. i wonder how to remove these types of materials from my HSF and CPU if i ever commit to a xp-90

I was refering to Isopropyl Alcohol in general and the fact that it can contain up to 30% water since most folks tend to use the generic store brand stuff. Excuse me if my post was misunderstood and it surely was not snappy. So yes I DO get the point
