Thermal paste neccesary for stock HSF with e4300?

I have an e4300 and plan on oc'ing it and want to know if it is advantageous to use thermal paste underneath the stock HSF

If you mean replacing the stock thermal pad with some thermal paste, then yes, it will help a little.

it will help, what will you be using? AS5 or something else? I read somewhere about another product (couldn't remember) that works better than AS5 according to their reviews. I'll have to look for it again as I'm currently compiling the stuff I need to build a new machine.

it will make sure any gap between the CPU and the Heatsink is "covered" or "filled" so the heat transfer will be efficient. Of course you don't want to put too much coz it will become a "barrier" between the cpu and HSF.

I've used it since it first came out back in the day and I believe it helped all my overclocks.
