So, I was all set to purchase a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme from Newegg today. However, when I log into Newegg to order this morning, they no longer even have the Extreme on the website. Not only that, but ZipZoomFly, MWave, ClubIT dont even carry Thermalright at all.
So, my question to you is, will the Ultra-120 be sufficient? I was going with the Extreme mainly due to it being only $5 more than the normal, but if the normal is sufficient, then I will of course purchase it and be happy. I plan on doing some mild overclocking. Here is my rig:
Gigabyte P35 DS4
Q6600
EVGA 8800GTS 640MB
Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR2 800
SAMSUNG SpinPoint T Series HD501LJ 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
ANTEC P182 Aluminum Mid Tower Case
Corsair HX Series CMPSU-620HX 620W Power Supply
I guess I should also ask: Will the Thermalright fit in the Antec P182 case on a Gigabyte DS4 board? And lastly, since it appears NewEgg is now out of the normal Ultra-120 as well(At least its still on their website) would the stock cooler from Intel last me at stock speeds until I can get a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme/Normal once they are back in stock at NewEgg? Thanks.
