finally got this installed today and this thing is amazing. dual prime large fft w/fan on lowest setting w/x2 at 2.4ghz w/1.36v and i'm hovering at 40c

How are you measuring your temps? I've been looking for some software to measure temperatures on my evga nforce4 sli board, but can't find anything (MBM has been discontinued and does not support my motherboard, at least, not in a way I could figure out). I have an external sensor now, but I don't know where to put it to get an accurate reading. The heatsink itself is so cold that it doesn't seem like it would be accurate...

Try Sisoft Sandra, it is compatabile with most MB's and CPU's.

I have the XP-90 and I think it is the best (as I spent almost $90 from 3Dcool on the setup w/a few extras)

My 3500 venice needed a special adapter to put the XP-90 on top of my AMD CPU. Double check the hardware needed.

My temps are about 35C w/ a 3500+ overclocked to 2.6 - not a huge o/c but very stable and if I could afford a dual core I'd have one.

They shipped the XP-90 with the adapter when I ordered it. They also shipped the panaflo fan with one, too, so I didn't have to solder something onto the bare wires. I'd say it's an excellent deal ordering from this company (I had never heard of them before).

Seems heat sink only, what fan is best for it? Panoflo?

It's just the heatsink. To be honest, I don't think the fan matters much. It doesn't seem to take much to keep it cool.

I've been waiting over a week for mine. I wasn't even aware of this deal till right now but I thought it was a heck of a price when I paid the price i did for it. I shouldn't have cheaped out on the shipping. Still waiting, darn thing still says its in Texas. AFTER A WEEK or more!

Finally got my sink, shutting down now and going to install it. It seems I might have to remove the motherboard which would not be cool because I just rebuilt my comp and wired everything perfectly and only to destroy it would make me pretty pissed. But here goes. I'll let you know my OC settings.
