PC P&C 510 is a great PSU but better bang for the buck would be a 530-550W Sparkle/Fortron, usually around your $90 target. Your system couldn't really use 30A though, for various reasons like not being able to run CPU at max power when system is first turned on, which is the only time the HDDs could ever come remotely close to 2.8A on 12v per, till they spun up.

Hey mindless, I have a system VERY similar to SLOviper's (except I only have 3 opticals) and am planning to get a 6800gt soon to replace my ti4200, how much voltage do you think I would need on the 12V line? Thanks.

cyrax78, IIRC that vidcard consumes around 3A 12V, maybe a little more if aggressively o'c. I'd guess your total, typical loaded consumption on 12V to be around 20A, but actual readings are far better than guesses, there are power consumption articles emerging on the 'net for that vidcard though I forget the URLs at the moment.

Would a TT420 work for that? Maybe, but I'd budget more for higher wattage unit... The Sparkle/Fortrons I mentioned are my fav for ~530W range.
