It is the same fan as the one that comes with the Volcano II....
It is real.....readt the article of the 60mm fan shootout where they compare that fan against the 23cfm Sunon, the 30cfm Delta and the 38cfm Delta. It kept up with the 30cfm Delta and only a few degrees behind the Screamer Delta....but....it is SILENT!
If you beleive it pumps out that, your a fool And you fell for it...
It feels like they did that purposely, ppl fall for it and buy purely on exaderated specifications. Other companys better not follow this example "If thermaltake did it why can't we do the same" Glacier-XL 72cfm / 21db
Reminds me of the Indigo Orb, by Thermaltake. The fan on that is rated at 36cfm at 30db. It's WAY louder than the Panaflo 120x38mm 68.9cfm 30db L1a case fan.
I have a volcano 2... is you look over at cluboverclockers.com for their volcano review they test it with the stock fan and the delta (they are rated within 1cfm) but the delta blew away the stoke.... what does this mean? Tt is full of BS as other posters have pointed out. My volcano 2 sucks. I'm getting a new hsf
I won't believe it until Anand or HardOCP tell me it does what VYW says..
The fan could be using MagLev with Vapo (Check the Sunon website for info) or some other type of new bearing method that might explain it but I'm not believing it until I get real numbers or proof from a more reputable site..
the only way this would be possible were if the Tt fan had a smaller radius motor driving it, hence lengthening the blades. if this were true than you could get higher CFM at same RPM, but i think the dBa would still be higher.
