I'm really interested in getting one. Especially when one considers that I have an SLK-800 with an adjustable fan that already keeps my Barton 2500 @ 3000 in the 40°C to 45°C range in a mediumly hot room. Decisions decisions...

Can anybody vouch for these?

The heatsink on this is better than the sk-7? I was about to purchase the sk7 but this one seems nicer.

Only one review from a newegg ... very favorable, but it also compares it to the Volcano 11.. (notice I have trouble trusting people)

That looks pretty nice...maybe I should get one of those fans. Already have SLK800 so don't really need a heatsink upgrade, plus the 3-prong retention clip on the SLK800 is a ******************************* to get off.

i picked this up from xoxide ( better company, better cust service) for $30 last week and its great. im not sure how, but im getting better temps than when my system was watercooled, and the thing really is silent. my temps have never been that good, but im currently getting 38-41. with wc i was getting 40-42, a volcano 11 42-45 and with an arctic cooling slim silent pro tc 50-54, all using arctic silver 3. im highly impressed.

edit: the bottom is pretty good but i bet lapping would drop the temps down even more.

ive only had limited experience w/svc, but have had a problem every single time. ive dealt w/xoxide probably 25 times and when thre is a problem they at least fix it, something svc has yet to do.

I have a Barton 2500@3200 with a SK7 running 38C-42C. W/ASIII
Also no problems here with SVC. I buy alot of case mods from them.

I also just bought a SK-7 for $20.00 shipped from sidewindercomputers my first time dealing with them and was a great experiense. This SK-7 keeps CPU much cooler the my previous AX-7 but was also running a XP2100 with a higher mulitpier. Hands down I couldnt believe it!

Does anybody know where I can get just the fan? I have a slk-800(u) w/ vantec tornado. Tornado is crazy loud, even with baybus. I would very much like to replace it with this fan. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Wait a minute, I'm not sure that this fan will fit on slk-800. I forgot about the fan clips. Any ideas?

i emailed tt about this and they said try back in a few weeks so i just decided to get the whole assembaly. itd just screw on like any 80mm fan, but im not sure how the slks work

Fry's have these also, just picked 1 up along with the 1800+ combo today, it's 29.99 at fry's, better than ordering online and pay shipping i guess.. and 1 more thing, easy return if it sux!

First look, it definitely needs lapping.. but I never done it so i'm not going to mess with it... will see how it compares with my v7+

I have nothing but positve experiences with SVC I have purchased from them a number of times, everything came well packed and was in perfect shape. I also have not had any problems with Xoxide either.

From the looks of it we SLK-800 users might need to wait until somebody does some test-fitting. From the initial impressions we should be able to use those with the clips by treating them as either 70*70*15 or 80*80*15mm fans by using those holes instead of the usual 25/38mm fan holes.

oooo...I was just browing SVC's CPU coolers, and I realized that the AX7's are back in stock and on sale at $18...that's pretty hot too. Bundle that with a 80-to92/120mm fan adapter and that's going to be one hell of a cooler.
