Thermaltake Volcano 7: Noisy?

I actually have a Athlon 1700+ processor retail box and I want to buy me a Volcano 7. Do you think it would better to change my fan for a Volcano 7 or to keep my actual fan?

Also, I want to know if this fan, the Volcano 7 is noisy.

i have one, it isnt too loud at all, it pretty much is even with the case fans, but when i say that, the case fans are not that good, thermaltake and a generic but still i can stand the noise and am still able to watch tv with the computer on

I would rather get the Volcano 7+ , I think the difference is the ability to switch rpm speed which increases the air flow and the noise.
And i think with the Volcano 7 its thermal controlled??? so it switches by the cpu temp

I'm very happy with my V7, but I swapped the fan with another 80mm that I picked up at CompUSA for $15. It is an Antec variable speed fan. Best Buy also has it. The stock V7 fan isn't as loud as others but you'll know it's there. The Antec is super quiet, with the V7 HS the combo keeps my XP1700 in the low 40's under average loads. The highest temps I've seen under MOHAA or SETI have been around 47C. There are better HS's and fans, but for about $35 in the V7\Fan it does very well in my system.

I was happy enough with the off the shelf Antec from CompUSA that I replaced my intake and exhaust fans with the same model. The AMD is now as quiet as my Intel.
