Thermaltake Volcano II, any good???

i say it'll be good enough for 1ghz

dont' try to go beyond 1.2ghz and the spec on the 60mm fan that comes with the volcano II, isn't true don't take that seriously, no way is 36cfm, is more like 25cfm or so comparable to the sunon and ystech. no where near the delta

Six days after my initial post in this thread I'm still using the Volcano II to try and cool a 1.33 T-Bird at 1.54GHz. We're having some unseasonably hot weather here now (upper 90's during the day) and the average idle cpu temp is now 53-54c.

Yesterday I ordered a Thermalright SK6/Delta combo from plycon.

How would the Volcano II do for a 1.4ghz athlon (non-OCed)?? I have a antec sx830 case with (2) 80mm exhaust fans and (3) 80mm intake fans, so I'm thinking it should be ok.

I'm running a 1.33 GHz T-bird (not overclocked) with the V2. Right now I'm reading 43 C for the CPU and 21 for the MB on an IWILL kk266. It gets upto 48-49 running United Devices @100% CPU use

I have a Volcano II on my 1.33 Athlon using standard silicone grease and it stays in the low 50s. I also leave it running 24/7 cracking RC5- I'm happy with mine. Probably wouldn't overclock it my CPU, but a Duron 750-1000 should be fine. Seems like a few people are able to do that without even increasing the voltage...

Hold on for a second, doesn't the V2 come with a 36 CFM bual bearing fan instead of the 23-25 CFM you mentioned and if not, how can I find out what fan I have and get a replacement.
