Thermaltake just copies other companies ideas and implements them poorly, with flashy ricer crap slapped on. Their power supplies are notoriously loud, but reliable.

Enlight PSU + louder fan + polished surface = Thermaltake PSU.
They are about even I think, but I'd probably take Antec.

Have any of you had experience with a TT power suply?

I have, and all I can say is they are SILENT when auto controlled and with very strong rails.

I have a TT 420W purepower w/ PFC... no complaints here, its actually very silent, my stock GFX card is louder than my PSU.

Thermaltake 420 is on sale right now at Newegg for $39 w/ free Fed Ex Super Saver shipping. It is very tempting.

I used to say Antec as well. However I recently have had problems with them, so next time I will probably go thermaltake or someone else.

Never had an issue with any Antec product. I've used a couple of Tt PSU's and wasn't overly impressed by them. They haven't failed, yet or as far as I know, so the jury is still out there. For me, I'll stick with Antec for my own systems. I was using one of their 380W True Power PSU's for about 3 years without any issue. I sold it with my previous case before getting a new Antec one and it doesn't have any issues either.

I would get an antec if those were my only 2 choices. However, I have Zalmans and seasonics in the boxes that matter most to me.

I would go with Antec, but I'd rather spend the money on a Zalman - active PFC, >85% efficiency, and q u i e t!

havent had problems with antec, zalman and enermax are also solid choices. TT will probably be fine, but more of a second tier manufacturer then top tier (antec, enermax, zalman, pc power and cooling...)

i have 3 Antecs, a 300w, a 350 SmartBlue, and a 550 TrueControl and I have 2 Enermax 350's Whisper Quiet. i like them all, they do their job and they do it well. but the 550 is my favorite b/c i can control my fans on it also. but it's pricey. if i didn't get lucky and find the 550 at a great price, i would have bought a TT, purely b/c of Active PFC and cheap price. but go w/ Antec.

Antec is one of the best psu suppliers. I think Thermaltake is crappy company who copy other compnies things.

Sounds like at least one computer company that I know of... Give you a hint, they innovate nothing, copy other companies products, and claim to have done things when people KNOW they didn't... The company name is 4 letters and ends in a pair of l's...

I personally prefer the fortron 120mm series of psu's, you can't hear mine at all with the fan on low. (on high though it sounds like a mack truck)
