Thermaltake Xaser III - so disappointing

So many problems, Thermaltake couldn't make it better since the Xaser II...

The case on review is a Alpha ver. of the Xaser III - not the final version to be sold to public so expact much more when they are to be sold...

Just thought I would post a link to it translated. Translation is "ok". Main problems they said where the fan control display on top of system is battery operated, not powered from rest of system (I agree this is stupid). Fans that they recieved in the system were not the 21 db fans advertised, but a different brand 30 db fan from evercool. They sent a mail inquireing about that but havn't heard back. There are some issued with the way the PCI clip system (its a screwless mounting system for PCI cards), problems could happen with large boards, but they had a simple fix or believed there was a simple fix for it.

In all, they liked the way the hard drive mounts were (rotated 90 degrees like some of the HP systems for better air flow/access to back of drives which now face the side of the case where the opening is). They liked the fan controls, but wish it was not battery driven. All in all, they liked a lot about it, but said there were a few things that should be fixed, and might be fixed on the final production version. I hope so, cause I was looking forward to getting this case for my next system.

Yep...the version you have is not the final retail version.

I will be the first official person outside of Thermaltake to own a retail Xaser III. There are a few differences but...I can't exactly tell you what they are.

I'll show you a review in a week or so.

This is the final version shipped to europe I just grabbed it in China from the production line.

@Fallen Kell, yes you got a nice translation. So the cons are:

• - fan controller with batterie
  - fan controller got bad quality (one knob broke during the test)
  - Impossible to mount PCIs when the PCB is higher than the Slot itself, watch the pics...

..and so on. Maybe you will have another version in the US? But I dont think so...
