Note to all people:In all systems, P4 and AMD Athlon, in 3d games you *have* to add 1.06GB/S for AGP 4X. So if the AGP bus is running at full speed, even a RAMBUS P4 system only gets 2.2GB/S.... and the PC2700 system gets 1.7GB/S... The P4 on average needs 100MB/S to keep moving at full speed. But, to Madrat, the reason why the P4 with DDR keeps up with RDRAM is lower latency. Lower latency is largely masked by prefetch.. but it can help. Or atleast help make up for the large defficency in bandwidth. And there is a chipset that beats RAMBUS today.. and that's the SiS645. Wins alot of tests. Ofcourse, that's only with PC2700.. but for people who bought PC2100 during the great crucial crash (Remember 512MB for 70$?) it just simply doesn't make sense to go RDRAM when the P4 1.6A will get along fine at it's 133MHZ clock of 2130MHZ with PC2100 overclocked to PC2700. Then again, if they can sell the memory for a good price, maybe it does.. but.. fat chance..
