Increasingly, I see driving behaviors that mirror those in mainland China, basically there are no rules, and they do whatever they want, because that's how they're brought up. They have no awareness, no driving skills, no recognition of the rules of the road here in the US. You can see this anywhere there's a high concentration of SE Asian immigrants, particularly Chinese.

And you know what's worst? Their damn Driver's License are bought and paid for just like everything else. They don't even need to know how to read the damn signs.

amen, brutha. One of my buddies/colleagues (who just returned to the mainland after 6 years working here), worked on getting his license the moment he got here. ~26 at the time, never driven before in his life, learned where to go only through chinese forums, paid some extremely old chinese dude for driver training (an old dude that never really learned how to drive either). Dude failed driving test in Oakland 3 times...until following advice from his chinese forums, went to Hayward, where they apparently pass every chinese immigrant, lol.

Let's see, he signals around curves, takes U-turns whenever the fuck he wants (most common driving maneuver around here), has been ticketed for driving the wrong way down a single lane one-way street twice--the same street that is more or less impossible to go the wrong way, but whatever.

mad skills.

I would spend the $250k on a $30k Subaru or Accord Hybrid, go on a few trips and invest the rest.

As a beneficiary of some of these kids' money, I'm okay with them.

You guys have NO idea how decadent their lives are. Hanging around them, I've learned to distinguish between mere billionaires and multi-billionaires.

I am not jealous.

I just think their money could be used to help out the less fortunate.

What about your money? Should your money be used to help out the less fortunate? If not, then shut it.

Who let this peasant into ATOT? Everyone knows we all make millions and have garages filled with exotic cars.

Pretty sad that Red China is nominally a communist government. In fact it is a government of the powerful and entitled whose main goal is to continue to hold power for the benefit of them and theirs. The really sad thing is how often this power structure has been repeated throughout history and throughout the world today. Human society evolves at a snail's pace.

Be grateful that these people are supporting other people working to manufacture such cars. Be grateful that these people are supporting other people working to enhance new engineering concepts and applications.

Screw all scoundrels who want to decide how other people spend their money.

$250k would cover my house, both of my cars, and my annual salary.

House and salary yet. Not too far from cars too (considering that my car is 12+ years old - but wife's is a 2011 model).

It goes without saying on ATOT, the "Land of the Painfully Logical."

Let me guess, an index fund? *facepalm*

Most that money comes from the 60,000 factories that closed down in the United States since 1990 and relocated to China.

With production comes wealth. Pretty simple concept.

On other news several of my Chinese friends told me yesterday after going to the city that the 4th of July fireworks that a major city in the U.S. puts together like San Francisco looks like something that a small village would put together in China for a random festival. Looks like a total joke. Lmao.

A nation with people still alive that were there for what is pretty much their industrialization still has rich people, especially, when there are little to no regulations and corruption. Of course, China has undergone a huge boom in wealth. Give them a few decades for most of that to get consolidated to a very few as most aren't intelligent enough to maintain it. We can move on the Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, or some other nation willing to accept our factories.

The reason the Chinese will lose big is because they have 3 trillion toilet paper dollars and believe that somehow represents real value instead of a growing pile of IOUs that the U.S. has no way of ever settling in an honest fashion. All it takes another market panic for the Federal Reserve to start printing again for Chinese savers to lose big. It's the Chinese government that's insulating itself from the inevitable by importing 3-4 times annual global production of gold (3000-4000 tons of gold a year) since 2008.

Interestingly at this pace, China may exceed the peak of 28,000 tons the United States held in the 1950s in just a few years.

Another reason for their heavy gold appetite may be their IMF bid later this year. They may get a bigger portion of the SDR if their gold reserves are higher than the EU & US.

Immaterial I guess, just having kids living in a social COMMUNIST government backed up by US corporations to do that seems a bit off to me.

Not like the GOP and the government in general would want those jobs to move over seas to a COMMUNIST=Socialist government would ever have wanted that to happen.

I guess all that trickle down went to a COMMUNIST government over the years for CORPORATE gains.

Most of the twits in P&N should pull their heads out of their ass, but the US hasn't in decades now to begin with I guess.

Most of this shit is pretty cut and dry.

Every corporation that has moved to China with off shore accounts are traitors.

It's just a daily part of life.

Have you ever been to the Grand Caymans ?

So many banks there for off shore shit it's pathetic.
