hi there i just joined up here and i was looking @ the dpc and i most say that i know they are watching

some how they have got hold of my email and are asking me to join up with them and before i joined up i didnt get any of these emails

Before you run off half-cocked, how do you KNOW that it was actually sent by a legitimate representative of the DPC? Could be somebody just trying to screw with them.

Another thought, is that while, perhaps, unethical, spamming doesn't go against the rules of Distributed.net Spamming via making use of the email addresses on their list, however, is (as is shown by the fact that my controlled effort was shot down, as was DanC's subsequent one).

so your saying i can go buy one of those $99 CDs with 50 million email addresses on them and send a TA recruiting thread to 50 Million people, and not be Dqed from Dnet? just because i didnt obtain the addresses from thier list?

Mass-posting distributed.net advertisements to unrelated newsgroups is a very bad thing. Emailing people who have not expressed a prior interest in distributed.net is a very bad thing.

Sifting email addresses out of the stats database and attempting to recruit them for your team will *not* accomplish what you're hoping it will. Please do not even bother.

You know very good where the DPC forums are. Why are you going to TA to complain about an unsollicted e-mail? You are just new to the forums overhere and you haven't joined a team yet?

Does it have something to do with you nick which is very dutch but other people don't understand it? You know you would be immediatelly banned from our forums with such a nick..

What is TA's opinion about a dutch nick which is freely translated like f#ckingB1tch of something like that?

I can't understand what you are doing but it seams you are playing a bad game overhere as a newby and I think you try to demolish ta's sportmanships and the DPC.

I realize that, Daniel, it's just that things seem awfully strange.

Why would 'teringhoer' report being spammed by a member of DPC when he's already a member of DPC? (He's most likely a member of subteam &quot;De Utregse Kudde&quot Why would he not report a case of spamming on our own forums first? The action 'on the other side of the lake' was initiated by myself, because I find this strange.

I knew this wasn't legit from the begining, just wasnt enough meat to the accusation, should have called it when i smelld it.

you DPC sure seem to have a lot of bad apples, or do TA guys come over to your forums and cause trouble all the time too? cuz i never seem to hear about it.
