This is a weird one...

-> She is talking from the driver side to the driver.
-> The passenger is the one that shot her.
-> One or both of the police dudes tried to resuscitate her.

No actual timeline. I am guessing negligent discharge.

Timeline:
- Calls police.
- Walks into alley after seeing car or was in the alley.
- The police passenger has his gun out. Do to the dispatcher to the call.
- No implied length of talking but seems long enough.
Was a hit: (Fake news path)
- Passenger cop was a rival casino agent and the dude(soon-to-have-been husband) was failing to make payments.
Was not a hit:
- The gun fired accidentally, and was accidentally pointed at the woman in someway. (rumors it went through the door! So, any way the driver cop is probably scared as all hell.)

A cop here fell asleep at the wheel and ran over some bicyclists. Got fired and prosecuted. No bonus points for guessing the race of the victims.

I'd like to see some harsh penalties if you're involved in a shooting and don't have your body cam on regardless of the validity of the shooting but I suspect that won't happen

Certainly won't happen while the Trump regime is in office.

There's always Canada -- it's like the US, but it has a sane government and a peaceful culture.

Is there anything worthwhile to do in Canada? I won't cross it off but it reminds me too much of our neighbourly relationship with New Zealand (what we call Australia Lite) and US Lite doesn't sound like a place I'd want to visit. No hard feelings to fellow American Lites (Canucks?)

Magnificent natural expeditions, that's for sure. Banff in Alberta has dramatic mountains and pristine blue lakes, British Columbia is lush and full of great hikes. Ottawa as the capital has landmarks like Parliament Hill; Toronto has the CN Tower and lots of culture; Montreal is legendary for its food (particularly Jewish staples like smoked meat and bagels) and culture. You could also get a kick out of the seafood and quaint fishing towns out in Newfoundland.

Also, don't forget that this is the home of some of the world's best-known music, so if you want to see groups like Arcade Fire or Broken Social Scene play in their native habitat, that's where you go.

I sound like a tourist brochure, but there really is stuff to do... just have to know where to look.

It's a great nation to visit as a tourist, my wife is from Canada originally so I've spent quite a bit of time there.

Of course if you're an Aussie you may want to visit during the weekend of summer.

I have no idea who or what those are but you gave the world Bieber so you'll need at least 500 incredible artists just to begin to make up for that.

Thankfully, that seems to be the case. There are a lot of top 40 and indie artists you probably don't realize are Canadian.

Cliff's Notes on those bands: Arcade Fire is a fairly daring rock group from Montreal that likes to dip into different styles while remaining accessible. They worked with David Bowie early on, if that helps! And Broken Social Scene is a supergroup -- most if not all members have their own bands, some of them huge (Feist, Emily Haines' band Metric, Amy Millan's band Stars...). I can't believe I'm posting music videos here, but as a primer:

To get back to the topic... it's safe to say that Canada's culture isn't as violent as that in the States. Not that you never see unnecessary force, I'm sure, but not with such regularity!

Basically it's the cop's word against the dead lady's.

In south carolina, prosecutors can't get a conviction for a guy who was caught on tape shooting someone in the back as they fleed. I have little hope for justice for this woman.

Saskatchewan is like taking a trip back in time, something like a cross between Happy Days and Westworld

You're right, heard them, liked them and didn't know who they were.

Coming from London I can say that Canada was a really peaceful place while I was there at least. Sure, drunken arseholes will be drunken arseholes anywhere but that goes for all nations. At least they are not drunken arseholes with guns.

You guys still apparently don't understand how this works. This is an open an shut acquittal, merely on the fact that there is no totally incontrovertible video evidence. Cop will just say the woman was insane, tried to steal his gun... and he bravely shot her in the face to save his life from crazed austrialian woman probably on cocaine or something. Suicide by cop, a tragedy we see so often. If you had a 1080P video of this cop murdering this white woman, you might have a case for manslaughter. Maybe.

The standard is: Do you have video evidence with clear audio from multiple angles? Is the victim white (or al least, not black)? Does the victim have no criminal history whatsoever? Bonus points if it's not just some regular pleb american citizen nobody cares about (i.e. a foreigner or rich/famous person). Extra bonus points if it's the family member of a cop.

If yes to all 3, you might get an indictment by grand jury. Miss any one, and you probably won't. The amount of yearly actual convictions of cops that result in prison time can be counted on two hands (sometimes one!).The amount people killed yearly by cops in America is around 1200. Do the math

never ever call the police. They are not your friend. They will kill you at the first sign of a slight risk to themselves.
She's Australian.
Nobody told her. She just assumed police were paid by the taxpayers to look out for their interests.
