http://www.weather.com/weather_center/storm_watch/maps/severe_sw_720x486.html Apart from the fact that there is a Flood warning its not to big a deal, did I mention the L.A. river is a bout 125 yards from my house? :Q I am going to go drive down and see if its overflowed yet, it hasnt happened since 92-93' but heck, who knows. Man its dumping, the rain gutters are overflowing! Cool.
HOLY COW! It is going over the bridge at hazeltine just south of riverside, and an adjacent parking lot has about a dozen cars "floating" around in it, one of which went into the river as I watched! I ran to the other side of the bridge but it didnt come back up! Someone is gonna be bummed.... The rain has lightened up some but there looks to be another downpour soon, http://www.weather.com/weather/radar/single_site/animated/91423.html I am just above the "n" in "Los Angeles. :Q
Also you people forget, we have mountains all around us so it runs "down" into the L.A. river, hence why the Sepulveda basin exists and floods on occasion. Actually its supposed to flood in heavy rain but the river is "supposed" to stay in its channel. Also I ran into a U.S. Army corp. person who was looking at the situation, don't know what he was gonna do.
