THG: The Final Sellout?

The Inquirer has now reported that THG is not sold.

BTW, the ATI "trylinear" article is good. Probably one of the better explanations about the issue. Also, THG's work on LCD reviews was definitely leading edge. First comprehesive reports on dead/stuck pixels and the return policies. Don't forget the Michael's Pownage.

So, it really depends on the reviewer. Some AMD fans do not like THG for earlier reports, but I think that work by Tom's made AMD stronger as they stepped up to the issues and solved them. But then again, some of the recent dual Xeon stuff is really weak (I cannot see from their own graphs that their affinity tool is of any use whatsoever). Just depends on the reporter.

Couldn't agree with you more. It's amazing how much info they can stuff in one graph. But those were the days. I haven't been to Toms' for a very long while now.

THG is not sold to anyone, and that's final.

It seems some unsavoury German tech journalist decided to spread the rumour at Computex, and we are looking into taking action against the offending person's company, which is a large media company with which we cut off relations in Europe on some collaborative projects. It is a mystery why they would do this, but I believe everyone in tech journalism is a little insane right now with the lack of substantive news coming out of Taipei.

With something this sensitive, I would have appreciated you just verifying things with me. But, be that as it may, if you know of anyone willing to pony up millions for any site whether it be yours, ours, or any enthusiast site, please, let's have sex with them, and get the ball rolling before it is too late.

In the meantime, we are all going to have a good laugh about the millions of dollars the company is worth while we chew on some gristle, and drink some river water at the company picnic

Don't really care. I gave up on Tom's years ago when he was spouting off all his anti-American BS. He tends to keep his mouth shut now when it comes to politics, but in my opinion, it's already too late. I won't even give him the satisfaction of a page hit.
