Thief or inFamous: Second Son [PS4]

I haven't played any inFamous or Thief games at all and wondering what you guys think will be a better buy? I hear inFamous is open world but how open world was the last one? Will it be like GTA and Saints Row?

Apparently Thief is a stealthy game would you say it compares to Splinter Cell and Assassins Creed?

What about DLC? Any word on what kind of DLC either game will get or what have past games received?

The first 2 inFamous games on the PS3 were outstanding, so I have high hopes / expectations for the new one and will be buying a PS4 when that game is released.

I'm intrigued by Thief, but never played any of them in the past, so don't know really what it's about.

I loved the old Thief games and this one is being made by the studio that made Deus Ex: Human Revolution which was my favourite game of 2011. Day one purchase for me based on that.
The previous two inFamous games have apparently been great, I played a little of the first but not the second. Due to the lack of quality PS4 titles so far, I'm just going to pick them both up.

Infamous for sure. The first 2 were very good open world games and this one seems to be even better.

Thief, I'm looking forward to, but being a Squarenix title, it will probably be half off in 2 months, I can wait.

I'm kind of thinking Thief would go on sale sooner also. I think I will grab inFamous first.

I'd vote for any game other than Thief; with that said, It looks to be very similar to Splinter Cell.

The old pc thiefs were okay, but it always seemed like their graphics engine and interface overall was third-rate. It was always behind, and clunky, compared to other games engines of the same time. The original from Looking Glass Studios was good, but then stupid Ion Storm and Eidos messed it up big time. I'll wait for reviews before purchasing Thief, to see how it plays and looks.

I have thief pre-ordered on steam and will be getting inFamous at launch as well. Both games look pretty solid to me.

Loved the first two infamous games. They're as open as GTA or Saints Row, but IIRC they both had the mechanic where you need to progress through the story to unlock parts of the map. They were excellent games though... my favorites of the ps3.

I told myself that Infamous will sell me on the PS4 and I'm getting a bonus soon...

Theif will use the light sensor on the PS4 controller to give the player an indication of hidden/visible they are.

Both games look great, may pull trigger on PS4.

wow that was recorded on a pc and THAT is the framerate/graphics on that game? not impressed at all.

Remember this is a developer who said "30fps is enough". They aren't aiming very high to begin with

Yeah after watching that video I posted I don't even know if I'm interested in Thief period. Sneaking around stealing stuff just doesn't interest me in gaming. I know the game might open up to other stuff but it looks like that is the core of the game.

InFAMOUS it is!!

Stealth and thievery is cool with me. I liked doing it a lot in Oblivion and Morrowind. Skyrim made it less stealthy and more action based which ruined the thieves guild.

I got it pre ordered on steam from a while back. Used some steam cards I had so it really won't cost me anything to play.

I have a $10 best buy credit I need to use by March 1. Going to probably get theif for ps4 and of course infamous in March. Any word on whenever watch dogs is still delayed ?

I never played any previous thief games. I did enjoy infamous on ps3 and I'm sure I'll like it on ps4.

Yeah but those are very different games. You can do what you want in those games. This game is one way...

looks pretty awesome to me. pending good reviews, i think i'll enjoy Thief

edit: and Infamous is a must buy. As it is for a lot of us, I'm sure.
