I thought I heard a faint noise inside my case so it sparked my attention. I open the door on my Chieftech Dragon case to see my northbridge heatsink/fan laying on top of my 9800 Pro. WTF? One of the tabs that holds it down must have had a cold solder joint, so I had to remove my IC7 and solder the NB tie down back on. I then notice a small resistor that was connecting two of the pins on the NB fan header. It sure looked ghetto since I've never seen a motherboard fan header with one before, so I desoldered it.

Time to run (2) instances of Prime95 for a bit.

Don't even get me started on the ECS K5S7A or whatever model that POS was. I can't remember it exactly because I've supressed those times.

Dude, screws suck. I cant believe the amount of time I look for the correct hard drive screw. Why cant they make a standard screw thread size?

Tell me about it, it took me an hour to find four screws so I could hook my Raptor up because Googlegear was too cheap to put stupid screws in the box.

PC Chips boards suck!!! I had a guy that wanted that brand because it was "priced right" and it took three tries to get a board that would boot with known good components:disgust:

And if they do, please let it be metric.

No damage to the 9800 Pro, but I cannot run Prime95 for more than 15min without one of them erroring. After hours of trying different FSB's and voltages, I came to realize the only other change that I made within the past few days was the installation of the Catalyst 3.7's. I uninstalled them and reverted back to the 3.6's. Now I can run Prime for hours.....odd.

"Things that suck" hmm my Crucial ram going faulty few days ago and I`m running on 256mb at the moment ,also I`ve noticed some of my capacitors are leaking at the top(6 so far) but they all seemed to have dried out so I`m just waiting to see how long my Epox board will last(35 months so far).

eMachines! I used to work at Best Buy and had two or three customers who bought one of these heaps. Luckly they got our free 'Quality Assurance Check' before they took them out the door, because when I inspected them, they were completely DOA right out of the box (which had no signs of being dropped).

The Cats 3.7 are terrible! They would hard crash my games whenever I loaded up a save file. I thought it was my overclocking but I reverted everything back to stock settings and it still did the same thing. I finally realized the only change I made was that I had recently installed the Cats 3.7 so I quickly reinstalled the 3.6's and all was well again...I thought ATI drivers were getting better?

Hey, on further thought, my prime95 also crashed with the 3.7's so I lowered my ram timings and FSB a notch. Maybe I should switch it back...Anyone else notice these problems?

So yeah....ATI Cat 3.7 drivers suck

Things that suck....

Drives (optical especially) that sound like jet engines when spinning up... :|

Just the fact that optical drives spin down... I hate the lag in certain games where the whole game pauses while the CD-ROM spins up again to read the data. Many games played smoother on my old 4x CD-ROM that would never, ever spin down. And it was silent too.....

PC noise in general - that sucks the most! Make fans and drives quiet for crying out loud!!!! You think I want to listen to "BuZZzzzzzzzzzz" all day?
