Drive around looking for cheap gas.
Drive around looking for a Freeway not under construction.
Drive around looking for someone who uses blinkers to turn or switch lanes.
Find someone who drives under 110 m/hr when not stuck in a traffice jam.
Find someone who drives over 1 m/hr when in a traffic jam.
Find someone who won't cut you off when you are the proper length between cars during highway speeds.
Good luck on any of the above.
The one thing that is great here are fine looking women. They are all over the place. Go out to Moe's in Katy on Thursday night. It's $1.00 beer night and all the good looking women that you can stand. Of course if you prefer rockets over the females then forget it.
Haha. Well I may do that on a weekend for the heck of it. Can't go wrong with $1 beers! As for the "Drive around looking for someone who uses blinkers to turn or switch lanes", I do. Habit.

I haven't explored much at all but yeah it does seem that way. Fourth largest US city (by population, I'm guessing).

Native Houstonian here (although I left for almost 10 years)...we have no zoning & plenty of land, so Houston is one of the most sprawling cities in the country. At this point it's pretty much one city from Galveston (south) up to The Woodlands (north) and from Katy (west) to Baytown (east).

People have mentioned the obvious - The Galleria, Space Center Houston, Astros Game, etc. We do have some great museums, believe it or not. The Museum of Fine Art and The Museum of Natural Science are probably the best. Some good hike/bike trails along Allen Parkway (they run along Buffalo Bayou). The Williams/Transco Tower (whatever they're calling it these days) has the giant waterfall & is pretty cool.

The Houston Press (local independent paper) has a daily calendar of events, including their top 3 picks.

Other than that we're pretty much just waiting for summer to get here so we can get our sweat on. We've actually had *amazing* weather for the last month or so, we hadn't turned our AC on until last week. Soon it'll be in the 90's every day with 70%+ humidity.

Yeah a museum would be a good idea. I'll probably check out the Natural Science one. I haven't been to a museum in a loooong time.

Hike trail/waterfall might be pretty nice too. Thanks for the ideas!
