Not to thread steal but what is the Asian food scene like there? I see lots of mentions of Mexican (or Mexican inspired) but not much Asian.
Here are a few Asian eats around San Diego that are decent enough that I remembered them. I've starred *** my favorites.

For
pho, which is Vietnamese noodle soup. It's like a hot pot. I used to always get the #1 which is a huge bowl, but they have the same stuff in smaller sizes too. They also have reasonable tasting Thai tea with boba.

This is dim sum food, served as a takeout. Place is kind of dingy, but super cheap with stuff starting at $1.39. They have the normal stuff like shumai and various bao, plus more exotic stuff like braised chicken feet.

This place serves dim sum during lunch. Pricier, but quality is usually top notch. You can get pots of chrysanthemum tea here that is mild yet tasty.

Somewhat swanky decor, with decent prices and good quality. Heck, my 87 year old grandmother (Chinese) likes this place, so it can't be all bad. I think they may have other locations as well, but these are the ones I know about.

Their name keeps changing, but this place is pretty decent. Pricier than random cheap Chinese buffets but cheaper than the expensive places like Todai. Their offerings are really extensive, with sushi and sashimi, Mongolian BBQ, all the usual stuff you'd find at Chinese buffets including higher end stuff like crab legs, plus sometimes some unusual stuff. I've seen frog legs there before. Quality can vary from time to time, but usually it is acceptable.

This is in the same building as 99 Ranch Market, but is across the walkway from them, in the back corner. There are 3 different places to eat there, and this is my favorite. They have a decent sized drink menu, including my absolute favorite boba milk tea. Let me repeat. This place has my absolute favorite boba milk tea. Don't know about their other offerings, but their boba milk tea is brewed, and is NOT from a powder. It tastes a whole lot better than most places that mix it from a powder. This place is split in two, with one side as a normal sit-down restaurant and the other side as a takeout place. If you just want the drinks, just go up to the register at the takeout side. Their drink menu is on the wall behind the register. Their takeout is pretty cheap. You can get 2 items plus rice or noodles for around $5, and they really pile up the food for you. You can seriously feed 2 people on that. Lots of decent offerings. My current favorite is their chicken curry, which is not spicy at all but is very savory. They also sell roasted ducks, chickens and pigs.

This is a chain, but is still not super common. It is a premium Asian buffet that specializes in sushi and stuff like crab legs, plus an extensive dessert bar.
