Yes, but I can't find out the thread talking about why. IIRC he was permabanned finally because every thread he entered just turned into a flamewar between him and some other member (I did it once, I think it was in the 9/11 conspiracy theory thread with Casio, Alkemyst, and IBS). Finally the mods had it and permabanned

It was a covert ban. I don't think there was a mod posting about it.

It was a result of one of the 2 epic diesel-related threads from a few weeks ago. I think the mods were waiting for him to finally own up, and everyone else to settle the eff down. He posted a pic of his emaciated "GF" topless with a "Casiotech pwns AT" sign, or something like that (I actually give him credit for it, heh). It might be a thread soon after that got him perma, though. not completely sure..... He started posting that pic everywhere.

btw OP, if you want to get banned, you could include a spoiler in a geekfest thread, like I did with the Dark Knight a few months ago. (though, it's probably more b/c I called the mod a fascist in response to editing my post....)

You used to get banned for abusive language, simply typing "DIAF," threats of any nature, racism and blatant bigotry, overwhelming f-bombs (which used to be censored)....but all of that seems to slide now.

question a mod though, and you're outa here.

Bans simply mean you can't post. You can still read the forums though, log-in, and send and receive PMs (kinda necessary if a dispute is involved). Honestly, that's probably worse than if they would just lock you out of the site for a week.

excessive quoting, spamming...anything that leaves a "mess" will get you banned.
