I run into that issue still because of all the Steam sales, my backlog continues to grow and grow. I do also currently play an MMORPG and when you play those, it seems like you almost never have time for single player games.

The last 4 Bethesda releases are this.

Oblivion, F3, New Vegas, and Skyrim all keep getting dumber and easier in order to appeal to a larger console market each time around.

Being able to check the map and get it to point where to go and follow the compass is stupid. I prefer games that tell you "The cave is east of the town, by the river" and let you find it.

I get lost and frustrated sometimes but most of the time I end up finding something really neat along the way.

Similar position. I straight up uninstalled Win7 because I could not play how I wanted to, ie 5 hour WoT gaming sessions.

To be fair in Skyrim you actually CAN disable it.

Actually they kinda are. When you load up your game only the most recent quest marker is active and only if you left it active when you last saved.

Let me clarify. Unless you tell it to turn in, it should always be off. That's just me. I really don't like too much guidance sometimes.

Um...well...here in FL it can rain for 12 hours straight. Can't go out and get stuff done around the house, TV sucks, everyone is lazy cause of the weather. So I sit down and sometimes yeah I do play that long. I've played longer too. On days off, for no other reason than that I enjoy it.

You don't call people losers who go fishing and spend 12 hours casting a line out and get no results do you?

I've gone out in near-monsoons, who says you can't go out in the rain?

At least the guy fishing is out of the house, not sitting on his couch twiddling thumbs.

I should have said somebody who does nothing but game for 12 hours a day, every day, is a bit of a loser.
