well we have a full time nanny that we call a home manager since we have 3 year old triplets. She cleans, watches the kids m-f and even mows the lawn. Shes kinda turning into Alice for us.

Right out of college when I had jack and shit I still payed for someone to clean once a week. Well unless I had a girlfriend to do it for me then. Sorry ladies.

my favorite cleaning lady was this mid fifties ukrainian lady named Helen. I always tipped her extra but MAN she was the best and most efficient cleaner I have ever seen. When my mom visited after seeing how clean she got my place she made me pay her more. She never complained about coming in on a monday after a party weekend. One time we threw a party that lasted into tuesday and she cleaned around the sleeping people and made everyone breakfast.

good times.

In todays market I would ask around for friends that have someone they have used for a longtime so you can build some trust faster and not worry about shit being stolen by a meth head

in a pinch you could call a service but I hate paying premium prices

Figure $100~$300 for each cleaning, depending on the size of your house. $400~$1200 a month (once a week x 4).

Why did you have kids if you can't take care of them?

cool...I know people that have live in nannies too. I'll have to see if anyone knows of just a cleaning lady that they trust. I see those companies advertisements on their cars for cleaning services, i didn't know they were overpriced...lol

Problem having a maid is you have to be home while they clean unless you absolutely trust them. It's not worth the hassle of having a maid. Now, live in maid/nanny, I can see the appeal.

Give me millions and I still wouldn't hire someone to clean the house.

I just don't trust people enough.....call me paranoid.

We used to have a Hispanic lady come to the house once per week to clean.

$40 for 2-3 hours...she was fast and good.

She had a great day job with one of the local hospitals...and was cleaning houses on the side to make extra money to buy a house. (a nice side benefit was that she was sexy as hell)

She got a great raise at her day job...and stopped cleaning peoples' houses.

We tried a couple of other services...none were anywhere as good...so we discontinued the services.

We just use a service. They come every two weeks. We're almost never home when they clean, but never had any issues, and the company is insured anyway.

Probably more expensive than hiring someone individually, but I find it easier to deal with so I don't mind.

CA is great. Loads of Mexican chicks who will clean out your toilets for $20/hr. We have one come once a month, she does a great job. She's the same one my brother in law uses so I find the best way to find someone reliable is by references.

If you're making millions, your time value is too great not to hire a maid. You're actually losing money by doing house chores.

Sounds like he is?

Those kids are getting way more attention and care than they would otherwise.

Ya triplets is hard man. I took FMLA when they were four months old because all three had colic and one of the kids was going to have three surgeries over a week so I stayed home. Hardest thing I have ever done.We managed on our own for six months before we both broke down from stress and lack of sleep. My son at the time would scream for 10+ hours a day till he had his surgeries.

We decided to do the nanny thing because it was just too much for my wife at the time to take care of triplets with one of them sick. I wish I could be the stay at home dad but I make more than it costs for me to have a nanny.

I have seriously considered being the stay at home dad but financially that is just too difficult.

We have a couple Polish ladies clean the house every two weeks for $80. This is in addition to the Neato robot vacuum that runs every day.

Having two growing Maine my excellent compatriot cats makes this non-optional.
