Thinking about getting Shuttle, any tips?

I'm thinking about getting myself a Shuttle System for my desktop.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction towards what to look for and what I need.

I currently have a 1700+ at 2200mhz, can I overclock that much in a shuttle?

Also, How many Expansion slots do they have?

Shuttle makes a ton of boards. They also make SFFs. So you'll have to pick a chipset first. I have an AN35N Ultra, (nF2 U400), and absolutely love it. It has no bells and whistles (sata,mcpt,firewire, etc), but I never needed that anyway.

They make good boards. Look for one you like, and go for it.

Forgot to mention, I'm running mine at 215mhz rock stable. I dont wanna go higher because I dont think my ram can handle it. Its got good overclocking options too.

Phreakk,

You would want the same system that galt has:

I have an AN35N Ultra, (nF2 U400)

Official support for 200 (400DDR) MHz FSB, onboard LAN and PCI/AGP lock those are the three most important things. Now, I'm not very familiar w/Shuttle's SFF systems; possibly they have another w/the NF2-U400 chipset that HAS the MCP-T Southbridge. This will get you Soundstorm, which is debatably the best onboard sound there is.

If you already have a PCI soundcard you're using and you like, then that's not an issue.

Most Shuttle SFF's have 1AGP, 1PCI (and 1 external 3.5, 1 internal 3.5, 1 5.25). In fact, one of many types of things. Some have 2 PCI's though.

BTW the AN35 Ultra is not an SFF. It's an inexpensive MCP board. You're probably looking at something like the SN45G for an MCP-T SFF PC.

The SN45G is the one you want...fully functional NForce2 motherboard, I believe with MCP-T. Newegg is going to be very competitive as far as pricing goes...esp since it is free shipping.
