I assumed OP meant the air dam underneath the bumper, not the lip on the front, when he said "air dam" and not "lip". A quick Google search reveals to me the lip is, in fact, called an air dam in this case.

If OP has a 2009 or 2010, the V6 Malibus are definitely powerful enough to drive like a dumbass with. The suspension is mushy, to my taste, but that's fixable.
But unlike the BRZ, the back seat in a Malibu is big enough for... shenanigans. (Sorry, OP.)

I’ve got an 09 LTZ but with the 4 banger 6spd Auto (with wheel mounted paddle shifters ). I wanted the better gas mileage. Sadly with the commute I take to work the V6 would have given me roughly equivalent mileage.
My in-laws think the suspension on the Malibu is too stiff. But then again they prefer older Buick’s.....
