Also, will the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme work on this mobo?

Very, very nice build there.

Only two things I would suggest.

BFG GTX 285 $340 - $20MIR

Much better card manufacturer, lifetime replacement warranty (register when received) and you can file the rebate for both cards instead of just one (MSI - limited to one card). Plus you get a free copy of CoD: WaW with each.

Liteon Blu-ray / DVDRW combo drive $90

Optional upgrade from basic DVDRW drive. If you already have a HT setup disregard, but I can tell you from personal experience it's nice to be able to pop a BR movie into the PC. There's also a model that offers BR/HD DVD/DVDRW for about $110 if that's an interest. Cheap HD DVDs ftw.

If you don't care too much about burning Blue Ray discs, get an external USB 5 1/4 bay and just use the same burner you have. You can use it for both machines. I rarely use the one I have for both my machines.

Question to the OP:

Are you going to RAID the solid state drives or are they going to be for primary and storage drives? I have a similar setup as you in my Newegg shopping cart in regards to the cpu and mobo. I was going to go with a WD raptor drive for OS/primary drive but some members said there wasn't much more performance gained.

Good luck and have fun with your new system.

I was going to raid, or chain them.

I was thinking of a Raptor and if I don't go SSD I'd go that way. If you look at Anand's latest article on SSDs it shows the Raptor is about as outstanding a drive as you can buy.

My biggest issue is load times and such, not so much capacity. I always notice the HDD speed more than anything else on a computer. I'm very impatient.

I'm running two last generation Raptors in raid-0 now and have been very pleased when I compare it to systems with standard 7200 RPM drives, even newer systems.
